(HRQoL) At SMOKING CESSATION CLINIC OF PUSKESMAS UPTD PONTIANAK KOTA

Abstract Background: Smoking is the second largest contributory factor in the world that causes disease in all organs of the body, and is the leading cause of preventable death worldwide. The danger of smoking exposure can be reduced only by quitting smoking. Someone's health can be measured through Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL). The government established a Smoking Cessation Clinic as a means to prevent the increase of number of smokers and reduce the number of smokers. Objective: To know the correlation between smoking dependency level and smokers HRQol Smoking at Smoking Cessation Clinic of Puskesmas (Community Health Center) UPTD Pontianak in 2016. Method: This research is an analytical research using cross sectional design with 49 respondents as sample. Results: Most of the patients at Smoking Cessation Clinic Puskesmas UPTD Pontianak, in 2016 had moderate level of dependence (47%). Most of the patients at Smoking Cessation Clinic, Puskesmas UPTD Pontianak Kota in 2016 had poor life quality from the dimension of pain. The level of smoking dependence had correlation with smokers HRQol at Smoking Cessation Clinic, Puskesmas UPTD Pontianak Kota. (P = 0,012) Conclusion: The level of smoking dependency has correlation with smokers HRQol at Smoking Cessation Clinic, Puskesmas UPTD Pontianak Kota.
