o Assess alternatives academia, consulting, CBN
o Pursue education
o Guidance and counseling
o 1st Class or HBS
Entry (about 25 years):
o Obtain job offers - Accenture
o Select appropriate offers
Early career (up to 30 years):
o Minimum of 5 years. Stay put.
o Learn the job
o Learn organizational rules and norms
o Fit yourself in
o Increase competence build a reputation for performance
o Dont change jobs because you dont have premium
Mid-career (30-40 years):
o Demonstrated increasing competence
o Establish strong reputation
o Re-appraise early career plans.
Do I still want to pursue the expert track? (Deliver - Kleos)
Or the selling track? (Sell - Afreecon)
o Re-affirm or modify career plans.

o Make choices appropriate to adult years.
Marriage. Move to Our Lords house.
o Change jobs/careers if need be
o Watershed in career management
o Look at the horse ahead
o This is the time to change jobs
Late Career (40 and above):
o Remain productive at work. Easier to retrench
o Maintain self-esteem
o Prepare for retirement
o Increase visibility in church/village/others
o Security/shelter
o Contribute to career development of others
