3S DESIGN ltd was formed in 2014 in RWANDA, Kigali .To get
involved in the development of East Africa and Rwanda in
particularly, the firm incorporated as a full service architectural
firm with main headquarter in Kigali. Our firm is operating in
Rwanda ,Uganda, Kenya, and Burundi ,we unite the varied and
extensive experience of the firms key personnel who have
worked in several countries in Africa and Asia. The company
includes 10 professionals, including two registered Architects ,
two Engineers (Civil and M&E),four experienced building
technicians assisted by a dynamic administrative staff.
Our people are spirited and intuitive professionals who are
passionate about all aspects of architecture, from design
inception to project implementation collectively, our mission has
been to consistently create the finest places for people to live,
work and play,

Goal and philosophy

3S Design ltd is establishing rapidly within Rwanda's fast

economy, as a firm committed to technical expertise and
design excellence. Composed of a group of highly
talented and innovative individuals, we have consistently
proven the reputable value of our service by providing
creative, responsible design solutions that support the
long-range business strategies of our clients .

Organization
Our firm approaches a project with the simple philosophy
that the best possible design technical and management
team should be made available to our clients. These
professionals will remain consistent from the project
inception through its completion. The management of the
firm provides overall project direction to ensure
compliance with the clients objectives of budget,
schedule and design direction, while a project manager is
responsible for the day-to-day activities of the project.

Technical
Our in-house technical capabilities include the latest
technologies in computer aided drafting and design. Our
staff utilizes latest AutoCAD, ArchiCAD versions,
incorporating Windows X Network. In addition, we utilize
high-tech Atlantis Z three- dimensional rendering and
modeling, as well as Rhinoceros 3D modeling, piranessi
render, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat
PageMaker.

Programming

The operational and physical requirements of a facility

are defined by function and space programming. 3S
DESIGN ltd works closely with a client during this phase
to gather information about ideas, images, philosophy
and culture, as well as details about how the particular
organization operates, It is our philosophy that anything
that affects the design , schedule and cost of a project will
be known at the conclusion of programming stage.
Significant data may include employment and productivity
forecasts, works or activity flow analyses, traffic patterns,
workplace standards and specific task requirements. An
accurate and detailed programming phase results in cost
efficient space concepts and encourage an environment
that responds to the needs of its users.

Site analysis

Comprehensive planning services include site/zoning

analysis, master planning and development guideline. To
develop an optimum plan, 3S DESIGN ltd provides
concept alternatives which maximize opportunities while
minimizing constraints of the facility or site. Uses,
transportation; utility, economic and environmental issues
are studied from a macro, as well as a micro perspective.
Staff also can facilitate required zoning approvals by
working closely with the client as well as community
groups and municipalities.

Architectural
The architectural staff has in-depth experience serving
clients in a wide range of projects. Architectural services
are comprehensive in scope, ranging from conceptual
design through construction administration and post-
occupancy evaluation. At 3S DESIGN ltd we provide
design and technical overview of all services provided to
our clients.

Interior Design

Interior design capabilities include a full range of services

from pre-lease work through design and implementation
3S DESIGN ltd has worked with clients on program
development, space standard analysis, space planning,
building and/ or work letter analysis, design
conceptualization and development, contract documents,
bidding and contract administration, as well as furniture
specification and procurement assistance, Additional
capabilities include three- dimensional design utilizing
CAAD

Construction Administration
Construction administration services focus on monitoring
all aspects of construction and representing the Owner
from the initial notice to proceed to final inspection and
occupancy. The project Manager, augmented by the
project design team, focus on schedule progress , quality
control, monitoring of shop drawings and conformance to
contract documents, and financial assessment of the
project. 3S design's staff uses a particular methodology
for keeping the Owner informed during this critical phase
Field services may include periodic site visits or full-time,
on-site project representation The intensity of field
services is determined by the project schedule, type of
construction contract , complexity of the project, and the
Owners needs.
