I provided the calculated values of Tolerance on Shell and Head "e" and Chord Length

you please compare your values and if any comments please convey to me.

1) Using the points mentioned in UG-80 (b)(2) for "e" values and Chord Length
and also from the Fig.UG-80.1 for obtaining "e"

2) For "t" as per UG-80 (b)(3)(a) Nominal Plate Thickness less Corrosion Allowance (for Butt
Joints)

3) FIG.UG-29.2 to obtain arc length

4) As per UG-80 (b)(2) the Chord length equal to twice the arc length obtained from FIG.UG-
29.2

5) As per FIG UG-28 L is obtained

For Shell
t = 58-3 = 55mm

D0=I.D + 2 * t
= 3800 +2* 55
D0 = 3910mm

L= T/L to T/L + (2* h/3)

h=3800/4=950 mm
h/3=950/3 = 316.66mm
L= 9000 + 2* 316.66
L = 9633.33 mm

L/D0 = 9633.33 / 3910

= 2.4637

D0 /t = 3910 / 55
= 71.09

for this e= 0.46 * t

= 0.46 * 55
e = 25.3 mm

and Arc Length =0.255 * D0

= 0.255 * 3910
= 997.05mm
Chord Length = 2* Arc Length
= 2 * 997.05
Chord Length = 1994.1 mm

Similarly For Head

t = (NOM)62-3 = 59mm

e= 25.96 mm
Chord Length = 2111.4 mm
O'let Family (Weldolet, Sockolet, Threadolet, Latrolet, Elbolet, Nipolet, ... etc.)

6) Buttweld fittings manufactured in accordance

with ASME B16.9 may be trimmed to produce an angular
joint offset in their connections to pipe or to other butt-
weld fittings without being subject to design qualifica-
tions in accordance with para. 304.7.2 provided the total
angular offset produced between the two jointed parts

does not exceed 3 deg.
