How to Connect the Sensor Tag to the Cloudant Database

Figure 1 Sensor Tag and Raspberry Pi

1. Make sure there is a connection to the Internet, by using Wifi Dongle or LAN
cable to the Raspberry Pi.

The following link is the information of how to access the Internet. How to
Access the Internet
2. Basically, the sensor tag could only be accessed by the Bluetooth. To measure
the sensor tag by using the Raspberry Pi, it needs the additional device of
Bluetooth dongle to support this connectivity since there is no Bluetooth built-
in. Figure 3 describes the type of Bluetooth (CSR 4.0) to support Bluetooth

device. How to access the Bluetooth

3. If the Bluetooth dongle has been plugged, now the Sensor Tag could now
connect to the Raspberry Pi. Use the following code to send codes from
Bluetooth to the Raspberry Pi. Hexadecimal data access to Bluetooth.
4. The sensor tag could send the information to the Raspberry Pi now. The next
step is to send the information from the sensor tag to the cloud, which is the
