There was a family came to the hospital to check the state of their new baby 8 month

old. The baby have a diarrhea, he is diluted bowel more than 5 times in 2 days. The baby had

no elastic skin turgor, sunken eyes, palpable pulse is fast and seems fussy.

Mrs. Dona : Honey, from yesterday Olga Diarrhea. How is this?

Mr. Adam : Calm down honey, we take it to the hospital right now.

again.

Mrs. Dona & Mr. Adam : Calm down honey, no probelm, the doctor and nurse not doing

Olga. (Olga slowly stop crying, doctor and nurse try to check again).

(After the check physical health of Olga, The Doctor ask some question to the parentss)

Doctor : Maam is it your son had been eaten unusual foods?

Mrs. Dona : Ahh, yes I remember, before he had diarrhea I change his milk from ASI to the

formula milk.

Doctor : Before he diarrhea how many times Olga defecating in one day? and how many

times when he ill.

Mrs. Dona : Usually he had defecating 2 times a day and now is about 5 times a day. Thats

make me worry. So we decided to bring his to the hospital.

Doctor : Yes, Maam thats good decided, because now his condition very weak. His

pulse rate just 160 x minutes and that's too fast for normal pulse rate of a baby. The baby had

no elastic skin turgor and sunken eyes. And we recommend your son for hospitalization. How

is it Maam?

Mrs. Dona : Really Doc? Ok wait a minute I will discuss it with my husband. So dad? What

we should do?

Mr. Adam : If it's the best way, then we have to do that.

Mrs. Dona : Ok, Doc we are agree. So when we can admitted to hospital.

Doctor : Its better now Maam. Nurse help me please check the room for Olga.

Nurse 2 : What class do you want Sir?

Mr. Adam : VIP please.

The nurse called VIP room to prepare for a baby with diarrhea diagnosis and will be there

between half an hour.

Nurse 2 : Doc, the nurse in baby room will be prepared. So now will we put the iv line,

because of the signs symptoms bear Olga are dehydrated?

Doctor : Yes, Nurse, but before we do it, prepare all the tools and I will help you too.

Nurse 2 : Ok, Doctor. Maam Sir, we will put iv line to your son do you agree? This

Mrs.Dona & Mr. Adam : Yes. Please.

Nurse perform actions in iv line and then the doctor prescribe some medication to Olga.
Nurse 2 : Ma'am I will binding this torniquet in your baby arm.

Mrs. Dona : Ok, suster. Be careful.

Nurse 2 : Yes Maam and please switch the view of Olga for to get distracted his pain

when Im doing actions iv line (infusion).

Mrs. Dona : Olga just looking to mama (Mrs. Dona hug his son).

Infusion had been finished.

Nurse 2 : The infusion has been finished Maam. Please waiting for medication from the

doctor.

Doctor : This is medication for your son. And the nurse from pediatric room will be

come here and pick up your son.s

Mr. Adam : Yes, Doc Nurse. Thank's for your help.

Doctor : Yes, we will meet again in pediatric room till Olga getting well.
