I am suffering. I want to end my life." is what people say when they are at

the point of trouble, and when they have no other remedy. However, the questions are

"Do they have right to kill themselves?, "Was Euthanasia already been implemented

in the country?", and should it be implemented when necessary?". In United Kingdom,

there was a woman named Diane pretty, a British woman from Luton, was dying of a

neuron disease. She was paralyzed but could make decisions. She wanted to die to

be spared of suffering and indignity but could not do it by herself. She thus wanted her

husband to help her commit suicide. However, it was a crime to assist another to

commit suicide under the British laws and her request to guarantee her husband

freedom from prosecution if he helped her was refused. She should be allowed to

practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering.

First, Human beings have the right to die when and how they want to. In

cases where there are no defendants who might exert pressure one way or the other,

the right of the individual to choose should be paramount. So long as the patient is

lucid, and his or her intent is clear beyond doubt, there need be no further questions.

To allow a terminally ill individual to end their life is the only humane, rational and

compassionate choice. The current prohibitions require a person with great physical

and/or mental suffering to continue to endure their suffering against their wishes, which

cannot be right. The right to life and the right to private and family life under the

European convention on human rights should be interpreted broadly to include

decisions about quality of life, including decisions about death if the life is no longer

one of quality. Thee patient must be terminally ill, the patient must be an adult, the
patient must be mentally competent, the patient must be in severe pain, and Two

independent physicians must be satisfied that the above conditions are present. In

conclusion, the only humane choice is to allow individuals who are suffering to choose

to end their suffering. Second reason is the right to die has sparked political and

emotional discourse in this country for over a century. Suicide is a legal act (in most

places) that is theoretically available to all, and if a person is immobilized in a hospital

bed they would not be able to exercise this option, either due to mental or physical

limitations. I believe they are being more or less discriminated against because of their

handicap, and I think that they should be allowed to commit suicide just like any healthy

person.

It is apparent that euthanasia should be permitted everywhere for the following

reasons: individual liberty; ones undesired pain, suffering, and misery; and the

individual s frustration from having a valueless life.
