6
Mounting Procedure
Important: To insure there is no
damage to the instrument panel (2), the
cut out is only made up to the curved
portion of the dash (1). Precise
measurements are made easier on the
bulged area (3).

1. The cut into the instrument panel (2) must

lie accurately below the edge (1). Only cut
out knock protection (soft section). Do not
damage the base holder (hard plastic
backing of dash).

2. Cut out to the instrument panel base

holder (2) using a suitable tool where
marked.

3. Remove rivets (1) from the back of the

dash trim piece. This will allow for easy
installation of the trim piece to center the
bracket over the hazard switch.

4. Situate base plate H in the center, over the

hazard lights switch (1).

5. Place base plate H on the instrument panel

and push it upwards until the base plate H
lies on the instrument panel.

6. Mark drill holes (3) and (4).

7. Remove base plate H.

8. Drill through the drilling points (3) with a

4mm twist drill bit.

9. Drill through the hole (4) with an 8mm twist

drill bit.

Installation Instruction P/N 01 29 2 152 588

7
Wiring Procedure
1. First guide the thin wires through the joint
(1).

2. Rout branches B1-B12 through the joint

(1).

3. Clip mount B onto base plate H.

4. Route branches B1-B12 through the hole

(1).

Note: Ensure that the wiring harness is

routed under the base plate H. Ensure
that branches B1-B12 are located in the
cut-out part (1) of the base plate.
5. Place base plate H on the instrument
panel.
6. Screw base plate H onto holes (2) using
Allen screws J.

7. Connect branches B1-B11 to socket

housing J (SW 18-pin), as follows:
Branch B1, RT cable, to PIN 1
Branch B2, OR cable, to PIN 2
Branch B3, WS cable, to PIN 3
Branch B4, RO cable, to PIN 4
Branch B5, GR cable, to PIN 5
Branch B6, VI cable, to PIN 6
Branch B7, GE cable, to PIN 7
Branch B8, GN cable, to PIN 8
Branch B9, BL cable, to PIN 9
Branch B10, SW cable, to PIN 10
Branch B11, BR cable, to PIN 11

output via the car speakers)
9. Insert Pin branch B12, L/GN cable, to PIN
12 location of socket housing I.
10. Connect socket housing I to branch G1.

11. Secure branch G1 and wiring harness G

with cable ties K to the original standard
cable harness.

12. Route branch G2 to the A pillar on the left.

13. Route branches G2-G4 to the CAS control

module.

Cars built before 09/07 (with sound output

via the navigation device only).

14. Insulate and tie back branches G5-G7,

they are not required.

Note: Vehicles without AUX input and

vehicles with USB (SA6FL) require the
aux radio connector included with the
kit to complete steps 16 and 17.

15. Route branches G5-G7 to the radio plug

X13812.

16. Connect branch G5, BL/SW cable, to radio

plug X13813 (12-pin SW), PIN 6.
