magnetic field.

When the switch is closed, the combination of the magnetic field and the current
produced a resultant force. The copper rod pushed out at distance, d 1 . When

Diagram 10.1 and Diagram 10.2 show a magnet is dropped from different height. When the
magnets enter the coils, the galvanometer shows different readings. This shows that there is
current flow through the circuit.

the C.R.O are set at 0.1 s / division and 1.5 V / division respectively.
