1) B.Sc. From the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in the year 1989.
2) Three years Diploma of Associate Engineer in Electrical Technology with first division
from Board of Technical Education Peshawar Pakistan in the year 1985.
3) Eighteen months Training in Telecommunication Engineering from Telecom Staff College.
Business development for TLD (Top Level Domain), AVL, VSAT and Telecom services in Saudi and
Bahrain.
After serving Siemens Saudi till 2006 and winning 437 million Saudi Riyal Railway
project, I was internally transferred during the 1st quarter of Q05/06 to Siemens NV Belgium
i.e. Regional Headquarter for EMEA region.
Under new challenging role, responsible for Sales / Pre-Sales / Bid management for COM
EN MEA region i.e. Pre Qualifications, General Bid Management, Relation & business
development and Technical support for several mega projects like ATVAM, MOI Tetra,
MODA, Tetra, ITS, C4I, FLOUR Qatar Gas & PMD cracker and IRR (Iraq) Transmission
projects.
Opportunity monitoring and analysis of the Large Enterprise market in the EMEA Oil and
Gas vertical market covering primarily the COM EN,FN and MN Products and Solutions
Portfolio's.
I have developed 6 potential partners with multimillion USD annual turnover having P&L
responsibility under tier 2 business model i.e value added distributors/ . Resellers (VAD /
VAR) of Siemens Enterprise portfolio (Unified Communications, IP Telephony, Radio
Communication, Data network , VSAT and AVL). I have been in Saudi for last 20 years and
have established relations with several high level decision makers in the Industry.
Relations with partners are a key in this culture and I have gained remarkable experience in
local Saudi market. The core of my success is to open doors and establish new base and
partners for SEN Portfolio ( Unified Communications and Enterasys data products and
solutions).I have managed to sell 1st DSCC in STC (Saudi Telecom) and this is 1st sell of
DSCC in the EMEA region. This has opened door strategically for at least 10 Million Euro
Enterasys (SEN) business to STC / MOD / MOI alone. I have also managed to get letter of
award from Al-Othman group for SEN (Voice + data) at least 2 Million Euro. I have managed
to get SEN as pre-qualified for Saudi Aramco unified communication and data project of
worth 25 Million Euro.
Technical support and In Kingdom coordination for the Multibillion SAR ATVAM projects.
Continued Bid/Proposal Management like recently submitted IRR (Iraq Railways) offer, MOI
Tetra projects , Aramco /MOD CCC and Relations & Business development with local
partners .
Delivered very well received C&CC presentation to Saudi Aramco. Coordination with local
partner for follow up.
Successfully pre-qualified Siemens for FLOUR (Qatar Gas LAFAN COM and PMD
Cracker) projects.
Bid management for IRR Transmission project. Successfully managed / submitted the offer
on time.
BIAM for IRR and MOI multibillion SAR Tetra projects.
Follow UP for IRR, MOI Tetra, C&CC opportunities, AVL/TTT opportunities.
Sales / Pre-sales for Siemens COM Portfolio, Overall Bid Management , Offer preparation for
Siemens Railway Signaling Technologies, SDH, Access Solutions (OTN), GSM, GSM-R,
Microwave , AVL, Fleet Management Systems, Power Supply Systems and Trunk Radio Tetra
Solutions .
Technical Pre / After sales support, Project negotiations, Contract management, Customer
interface, Project co-ordination and Management (Including Pre-qualifications for aforementioned
valued customers).
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
1) Team leader to win phase 1 project of worth 437 million Saudi Riyal Railway project
against giant groups like Saudi Bin laden, Yamamah and others. The Project included
Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of ETCS Signaling and
Telecommunications System on the Saudi Railways Organization Network for line 1
&2 between Dammam & Riyadh awarded to Siemens in December 2005.
Both phases of Project were of worth approx. 700 Million SAR (185 Million USD).
Involved in Pre-qualification and got Siemens as best pre-qualified.
I was assigned as overall bid manager for entire Technical portion and a single point of
interface for all the 8 involved technology providers/parties (Siemens internal and external) in
this project after issuance of tender.
I was involved in the project negotiation phase.
I have established very strong relations with the customer to his entire satisfaction and set
the wining stage of Siemens for a highly strategic and first ever project of this nature in the
history of Saudi Arabia as well as Siemens.
I was a single point of contact within Siemens Saudi Arabia for Tetra Wireless
Technology. I have managed alone to deliver several remarkable presentations
including the best ever Tetra presentation considered by Aramco which later put
Siemens as best pre-qualified bidder.
EXPERIENCE WITH SIEMENS IN SAUDI ARABIA (1.10. 2000 to 20.03.2002)
Worked as GENERAL PROJECT MANAGER in Siemens AG for Saudi Royal Palace Overlay
Network GSM D900 Project. My major tasks were:

NATURE OF JOB :
I was locally hired by Siemens AG Germany to work as BSS & MW Commissioning Engineer
together with highly trained German Engineers for Saudi Royal GSM network provided by
SIEMENS / MOTOROLA , where Siemens was Prime.
After the departure of delegated staff, I was assigned to take over the BSS part for complete
Network in the Kingdom as TAC2. I was only BSS Engineer in Siemens Saudi Arabia to be
Independently responsible for the survey , planning , commissioning , Network optimization ,
Acceptance testing and maintenance of Royal GSM network .Additionally I was also
responsible:
To supervise the installation team to meet the international specified standards in Royal
premises.
To attend the meetings with worthy customers and to take the solid measures to clear the
outstanding items.
Correspondence with TAC III at Munich and Error/Trouble Tracking follow up with Motorola
MCSC Swindon U.K .
Correspondence for the delivery of Faulty BSS hardware i.e. Generation of Log files and
Fault reports as recommended by Motorola.
Commissioning and maintenance of base station controller (BSC) & transcoder
equipment, base transceiver station (BTS) equipment and Digital microwave.
NATURE OF JOB :
Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Maintenance of Digital M/W, Fiber Optic Transmission
Systems and Splicing of F/O Cables for Royal Palaces, Ministries, Saudi Aramco Networks, Sceco
& STC Networks.
My Work Involved The Supervision, Planning, Commissioning and Maintenance Of PCM, Higher
Order Digital MUX, 13 GHz Digital Microwave, 34&140 MB/S Fiber Optic Transmission Systems,
PCM Repeaters and PCM Line Terminal Units
