Project Idea Students will work in collaborative groups of 3-4 to formulate research questions and find the answers to their questions using the

DO: Students will inform their peers on proper research techniques and netiquette. Students will create a reference page.

*Remember to talk about computer hardware as it relates to the TEKS-identify and use hardware systems, trouble shooting and restarting, power issues, resolving
software compatibility, verifying network connectivity, connecting to remote resources, and modifying display properties.

Project Flow Day 1 Introduce the driving question and show the Google Scavenger Hunt PowerPoint. (Seat individuals in proximity of team
members.)

Days 2 Each individual formulates essential questions and responses about the best search strategies, netiquette, and citation creation
sites.

Days 4 Students will complete a mini citation creation lesson using an online generator. Practice citing the MISD webpage, a Google
image (not the thumbnail), and a video (TeacherTube or SchoolTube, Vimeo, etc.).

Days 5 Students will watch a Prezi on netiquette and Einstein on Technology slideshow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w2ybsnTK1Q

Days 6-9 The team creates a Search It presentation explaining their top six research strategies and 3 pages/slides on netiquette with a
correctly formatted reference page to share with the class. (May work individually or collaborate in teams.)

Day 10 Gallery Walk of presentations and audience feedback/self-reflection.
