GUIDELINES

SCHOOL HOURS

Nursery 1 & Nursery 2 (M-F)

ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY

1. Regular attendance in class and other school

activities is required.
2. Your child is advised to be in school at least 10
minutes prior to the start of classes.
3. If your child cannot attend class, please inform
or call the office at 227-2051 loc. 120.
4. When you child returns to school after an
absence, he/she is expected to present an
excuse letter from the parent/s to his/her
teacher.
DISMISSAL TIME

1. Parents or fetchers are expected to fetch their

child ON TIME.
2. Parents/Fetchers should WAIT at the lobby
when it is dismissal time.
3. No child is allowed to stay in the TAN YAN KEE
BUILDING beyond 4:00 P.M.
4. Parents must inform the teacher or call the office
if they cannot fetch their child on time.
5. A WRITTEN PERMISSION with photocopy of
the ID must be provided to the teacher should
be fetched by anyone other than the parent of
the designated person.
6. If a child will be fetched earlier than the
scheduled time, parents/fetcher is required to
secure a PERMIT TO LEAVE Slip from the PS
Unit Head and log the child in the guards
logbook.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
From Monday to Thursday, all children are required
to wear their complete school uniform.
BOYS - Khaki shorts, white t-shirt with school logo
printed at the front, black leather shoes, and plain
white socks.
GIRLS - round pleated navy blue skirt with straps,
white blouse, black leather shoes, and plain white
socks.
On Fridays, the Activity Day, all children are
required to be in their school jogging pants, P.E. t-
shirt and rubber shoes.
Note:
Always make sure that your child brings an
extra P.E. t-shirt to school every Friday.

APPEARANCE
HAIR
1. The boys hair must be kept short and well-
combed.
2. The girls must keep their hair neat and well-
combed. They may tie their hair, wear head
bands or clips to keep their hair from covering
their eyes or faces.
FINGERNAILS
1. Boys and girls should have and clean fingernails
at all times. The class adviser will check on them
on the first day of every school week.

SCHOOL ID
1. The school ID is part of the Chonghuan complete
school uniform. Therefore, it should be worn in
school at all times.
2. Loss of ID should be reported immediately to the
teachers and Office of Student Affairs. A
temporary ID is issued while a new valid is in
process.
SCHOOL BAGS
Children must bring their school bag to school
from Monday to Friday.
Note:
Parents are advised to provide a school bag which
is not too big or heavy for their for their children
to carry / pull.
Parents are also advised to check on their
childrens and folders for any assignment or
homework.
LESSON GUIDES AND ASSIGNMENTS
1. Teachers give assignment from time to time.
Parents are requested to check on them
regularly and guide their child in accomplishing
them.
2. English and Chinese Lesson Guides and other
immediate concerns are provided to serve as
guide when making the follow-up at home.

JEWELRIES /TOYS / AND OTHER VALUABLE

ITEMS

1. Bringing of personal toys, cell phones, money, or

any valuable item is not allowed in the school.
2. Wearing expensive jewelries is also discouraged.

Note:
The school is NOT LIABLE for any loss of
valuable items in school.
RETURN SLIPS, LETTERS, AND
ANNOUNCEMENTS

Return Slips, letters, and announcements will be

placed in your childs folder. Please go over your
childs folder regularly.

RECESS / HEALTH BREAK

1. The children have a 20-30 minute recess every

day. This is facilitated inside the classroom by
the teacher.
2. Snacks should be provided beforehand.

Note:
Candies, chips, and other junk foods are not
allowed.
Milk, fresh juices, water, biscuits, sandwiches
or rice are strongly suggested.
MEDICATION

Medicine may only be administered to the children

by the school nurse or teacher upon presentation
of a request letter from parents.

BOOKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES

1. School supplies listed in the Pupils

Requirements Sheet at the beginning of the
school year should be provided to your child.
2. Parents must label their childs school supplies
and other personal things to avoid confusion and
losses.
3. Books and notebooks must be covered and
labeled with your childs name and grade and
section.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

1. Children are required to attend activities

sanctioned by the school. (e.g. Monthly
Activities, Field trip, etc.)
2. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and
be involved in the different school activities.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Special events like birthday celebration will BE

ALLOWED in school but only during lunch break or
dismissal time.

STUDENT DISCIPLINE

1. To endure good behavior inside and outside the

classroom, certain rules of behavior are taught in
school in which children are expected to follow.
2. When children follow rules, they receive praise
and encouragement.
3. If a child chooses not to follow the rules, their
consequences are as follows:
1st & 2nd Time: The adviser or teacher talks
to the child.
3rd Time: The adviser or teacher talks to the
child and gives his / her
time out.
4th Time: The adviser or teacher confers with
parents.
5th Time: The guidance counselor talks to the
child.
6th Time: The guidance counselor talks to the
child, parents, and
teachers.
APPOINTMENT FOR CONFERENCE
1. Parents are encourage to confer with any of their
childs teacher or school administrator.
2. If parents would like to have a conference or
consultation about their childs performance in
school, an appointment must be file in the
Preschool Office indicating the reason for making
the appointment and the preferred time.
3. For short inquiries, parents may approach the
teachers during dismissal time.

QUIZZES AND EXAMINATIONS

1. Schedule for quizzes and examinations are

provided.
2. Children who are absent due to sickness will be
given make-up test (quizzes & mastery test)
unless an excuse letter and / or medical
certificate is provided.
3. Parents are expected to settle their childs
account before the examination period.
4. Your child will NOT BE ALLOWED to take the
periodical exam if he/she has an outstanding
balance in school fee for the particular grading
period.
PERMIT TO ENTER SLIPS

Parents / Guardians / Yayas who wish to enter the

classroom while classes are going on are allowed
provided he / she has the PERMIT TO ENTER slip
issued by the Preschool Office.

REPORT CARDS

1. Report Cards are issued quarterly to parents.

2. Report Cards will not be released if there is still
unsettled financial obligation with the school for
the particular quarter.

DISCONTINUANCE OF STUDIES
1. If for some reason your child cannot continue his
/ her studies, a WRITTEN NOTICE from the
parents should be submitted to the Preschool
Office indicating the reason for the
discontinuance of studies.
2. Parents are expected to settle their financial
obligations before clearance is given to the child.
PARENTS AREA

1. The school provides an area for parents,

guardian, and nannies to stay while waiting for
the child / children.
2. Parents, guardians, and nannies are expected to
follow the guidelines that govern the use of the
area.
