ABSTRACT
The study generally aimed to develop a system entitled eTas : Electronic Thesis
Anthology System of BSIT Department for Dalubhasaan Ng Lungsod Ng Lucena that will help
the BSIT Department in organizing thesis proposal and documents of the said institution.

The proposed systems non-functional requirements are accessibility, efficiency, usability,


maintainability and reliability. The system user is subdivided into administrator and guest. Both
user has a specific data and information that can access. The guest user has a restriction in
accessing and browsing classified information while the administrator has the ability to control
and manipulate the system. Unlike the existing system where in the user manually check and
compare different thesis proposal, the proposed system can give result with just one click. The
user just need to upload thesis file or input a specific line of words or paragraphs from the thesis
proposal to the system in order to identify if it is valid or not. It gives a precise result based on the
uploaded thesis files in the database. The system used words and icons. All information that will
be displayed in the results is based on the database uploaded by the administrator itself.

The main function of the system is to identify redundant and plagiarized data and
information from the thesis proposal of the 4th year students of BSIT Department from
Dalubhasaan ng Lungsod ng Lucena found in the content search button. When opening the system,
the home pages shows information regarding the system. The system archives thesis proposals
uploaded by the administrator. It will be stored in a database and serves as the reference in
comparing and analyzing new thesis proposals in order to prevent plagiarism of information. All
the uploaded thesis files can be view, access, print and extract the thesis file either pdf or word in
the view thesis button. The system also organized exceptional and best thesis that will be found
in the top thesis button. In terms of security, the audit trail button monitors and records all operation
done by the user. All information about the programmers and developers of the system will be
found at the about button. In case of questions, the user can refer to help button or just simply
press f1 button.
