Since its establishment in 1964 in Waldstetten

(Bavaria) by Mr. Wilhelm Merkle, Merkle has set
itself apart as one of the world leaders in the produc-
tion of welding technology equipment for manual and

(75.350 ft) Merkle headquarters in Ktz, Bavaria,
where our R&D, mechanical and electrical production
and main warehouse facility is situated.

Forced Wire Contact: Designed for use in automa-
tion, the forced wire contact ensures a constant
and reliable contact between the welding wire and
contact tip under even the most severe of conditions.
ProSWITCH: available in our HighPULSE series of
machines, the ProSWITCH function allows an unli-
DeepARC ColdMIG
mited combination of all available welding proces-
ses, producing a single process suited to you, your
material and your welding task. Combine Pulse with
spray arc, spray arc with ColdMIG, or even DeepARC
+ ColdMIG + Spray arc with Pulse to give an unparal-
leled exibility.
High Frequency Pulsing (KHz): Available up to 12000
Hz (12 KHz) in all of our TIG welding power sources.
The concentrated TIG welding arc with unmatched
intensity and directional stability is especially suited
to automated and manual welding.
Our cost reducing, production and prot improving
DeepARC, ColdMIG and HighUP processes.

Even before the era of DIN EN ISO 9001, Merkle
maintained its own quality management system and
levels. This made the jump to our DIN EN ISO 9001:2008
qualications very easy, and showed us that we were
in fact already producing to standards well above the
required norm.
To manufacture a high technology component to
standards well above the current certication levels,
we have learnt that our own in house production is of
utmost importance.
In reality it is the key to high reliability, availability and
exibility. Because we manufacture as much as possi-
ble ourselves, we are in a position to adapt to changing
market demands in a very short space of time.
The fact that we produce so much of our equipment
ourselves is also the key to success of our mechanical
and electronic R&D departments.
