 Mobile Phones a great invention?

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention? I think there are
both advantages and disadvantages:

The first advantage is that we can get in touch easily with people who are not close
to us, like family and friends that live in other country. Secondly, we can let people
know if we are going to arrive late to some place or at home so they dont worry if
something bad happened. Thirdly, for entertainment is great, with a bunch of apps
and games where we can spend our free time and even share our thoughts and
anecdotes.

There are also disadvantages for this invention, for example: with these apps (as I
mentioned before) we create distance from others, if we are in a dinner with friends
or family we can be more aware for what is happening in the virtual world than
enjoying the company of whoever is with us. Also I think the thefts have been more
frequent because all new phones keep coming almost every month and that
catches the attention of the wrong people.

To sum up, I think mobile phones are a great invention as long as we use it
correctly, use it for necessary things and not to isolate ourselves from the world.
