THE PUPPET SHOW | CAST (in order of appearance)

Cheryl D. Singleton* (Mistress of Ceremony - Staged Readings) is thankful to be working on


The Puppet Show. A native of Brooklyn NY, she has been performing both scripted and
improvised work in Boston for almost 20 years. Area credits include Billy Elliot the musical
(Wheelock Family Theatre), Intimate Apparel (IRNE nomination, Lyric Stage Co.), Absence
(Boston Playwrights' Theatre), Dollhouse, Rent and Passing Strange (New Rep), The Comedy
of Errors (Commonwealth Shakespeare), The Seagull (a.r.t.), The Superheroine Monologues
(Phoenix/Company One), Sonia Flew (u/s, Huntington Theatre Co.) and productions with
Zeitgeist Stage, Gold Dust Orphans, Queer Soup, Comedie du Jour and ImprovBoston, among
others. Cheryl was a member of the Loaves and Fish Theater Company and Theatre Matrix,
both in NY, and performed at the Frank Silveras Workshop. She has also had the pleasure to
perform at the YesAnd festival in NY, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Toronto Improv
Festival, the NY Fringe Festival and the Chicago Improv Festival. She will next be seen in To
Kill A Mockingbird at Gloucester Stage. A proud member of AEA and StageSource, Cheryl also
serves on three arts boards in the Boston community.

Elle Borders (Sista Gurl) recent credits include Midsummer Night's Dream (Hermia/Quince),
the world premier of How Soft the Lining (Elizabeth Keckly), An Octoroon (Minnie), and Othello
(Bianca/ Montana). She has had the privilege of working with Boston Public Works, Sleeping
Weazel, Actors' Shakespeare Project, and Company One in addition to many readings and
workshops with the Huntington Theatre Company. Ms. Borders studied with the Atlantic Theatre
Company and holds a BFA in Drama from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

Evelyne Cardella (Ballerina Rose) is thrilled to be a part of The Puppet Show! She's very
proud of this show and what it represents, especially in today's socio-political climate. This year
she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Northeastern University and recently appeared
as Nora in their production of Nora. Other recent work includes TC Squared's New Play
Festival, in which she played Bee in The Devil You Know. She does costuming work as well as
acting, and has worked in this capacity with Apollinaire Theatre Company, Wellfleet Harbor
Actors Theatre, and Bridge Repertory Theatre, as well as at her alma mater. In her spare time,
she likes to hang out with dogs - no, wait, that's her day job. Lucky her!

Brandon Green* (Act Right) is a creative and educator from Selma, AL, currently residing in
Boston, MA. Recent credits include The Scottsboro Boys with SpeakEasy Stage (IRNE
Winner/Elliot Norton Nom - Best Ensemble), Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play (Lyric Stage), and
An Octoroon(Company One/Arts Emerson) for which he was the recipient of the 2016 Eliot
Norton Award for Best Actor. Other area credits include work with 3050 Music Group,
Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Brand New Classic, Huntington Theatre Company,
Nora/Underground Railway, Cape Rep Theatre. When not performing, Brandon teaches the
Suzuki Method of Actor Training at Brandeis University and is a teaching artist with Daniel
Beaty's IDream Project.
Jeff Marcus (Alec) is excited to take part in this staged reading. Previous Boston credits
include Camelot (Lyric Stage Company), Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again (Company One), A
Beautiful Day In November On The Banks Of The Greatest Of The Great Lakes (Apollinaire
Theatre Company), The Love Of The Nightingale (HUB Theatre Company), From The Deep
(Boston Public Works, NYFringe), Macbeth (Brown Box Theatre Project), The Seagull and Our
Town (Huntington Theatre Company), The Good Person Of Setzuan (Fort Point Theatre
Channel). You can next see Jeff in Theater On Fire's Production of Annie Baker's The Aliens,
opening Sept. 15th at the Charlestown Working Theater.

Saleia Arkeish (Little Girl) is a developing artist in the city of Boston, and has other
productions throughout the city. She is excited to be in this production of The Puppet Show!
She would like to thank her cast mates, director, and Allyssa Jones for an awesome experience.
