Simple liner shapes are easier to handle. High hardness materials and smaller shapes
translate into less material waste over time (i.e. Replace liners only where needed, not a
single large liner with only localized wear. Bottom shell liners are not replaced in sets as with
concaves.)
Greater flexibility in spare part sourcing due to widespread availability of AR plate and simple
liner shapes.
Simple layout of the Type NT bottom shell allows customization of liner materials to optimize
wear and performance. Cast shields are available in a variety of materials: manganese steel,
alloy steel or white iron.
Bottom shell housing includes 2 inspection ports for the eccentric gear and countershaft
pinion.

Capacities are based on the following assumed feed distributions: maximum feed to the crusher (F100 )
equals 80% of the feed opening size and 80% of the feed gradation (F80 ) is equal to or less than 50% of
the feed opening size. Bulk Density is assumed to be 1.6 metric tons per cubic meter. Capacities are
calculated at the maximum eccentric throw for each machine size.
Please note that the above capacities are typical, but crushing applications may vary widely with material,
feed characteristics, moisture, and work index. FFE Minerals recommends verification of throughput and
capacities of Fuller-Traylor Gyratory Crushers for each installation. Specific throughput needs can be
met through engineering analysis and modification of crusher geometry.

Particle Size (mm)
To use the Product Analysis Chart, determine what particle size is required (X-Axis) and intersect the
appropriate curve based on Open Side Setting (OSS). Correlate the intersecting point on the OSS curve
to the Percent Passing (Y-Axis) to determine the approximate percent passing of an exact particle size at
an exact Open Side Setting.
EXAMPLE: For a Particle Size of 150mm, what is the percent passing a 178mm OSS? The Percentage
of 150mm particles passing an OSS of 178mm would be ~76%.
Please note, these are typical product size distributions and vary widely with feed distribution and specific
rock characteristics materials. For specific application information, please contact FFE Minerals
Applications Engineers.
