Suspension levelling Electronic control system

The air suspension system is controlled from an electronic
control unit that is integrated with the vehicles electronic
system via a datalink. The electronic system adjusts air
pressure in the bellows to suit axle load and keeps the cargo
platform at a constant height while driving and when
loading and unloading.
Altering the air pressure in the bellows compensates
uneven load distribution. The electronic system operates
with a small time delay so that it does not react when
taking a curve or under brake application. The driver
information display unit provides constantly updated
information about air pressure and the function of the
system
The air suspension system comes with a wire-linked hand-
held control box, allowing the driver to adjust the height
of the truck. It is available in a choice of two versions
tailored for rear-only or full air suspension.
With rear-only suspension, the box consists of six buttons
in total:
1. STOP stops the regulation.
2. Drive level mode normal driving height.
3. Manual mode selection loading height (upper) and
drive level height (lower). The height above ground in
drive level mode can be adjusted within certain limits.

4. Up lifting of the truck.
5. Down lowering of the truck.

heights.
A seventh button is added for full air suspension:
7. Axle selection regulation of axle height and memory
choice. M1 front axle or memory 1, M2 front and
rear axle or memory 2, M3 rear axle or memory 3.
The Hold function makes it possible to stay in the lifting
or lowering position without a constant press on the up or
down button. The truck height will be adjusted to a pre-
set minimum/maximum value.
If the control box indicates manual loading height adjustment
the system will continue to operate even without the key
in the ignition. The operation will be in progress as long as
there is air left in the system or when four hours have

of the control box and about driving an air suspended
truck, see the Driver Instructions.
