Section 3.11.1 journal article

- Authors
- Title and subtitle (title: capitalize the 1st letter of 1st word only)
- Abbreviated journal names (italicize)
- Year
- Volume number (; after year, no space right after ; all the way to finish citing page numbers)
- Issue number
- Part of supplement number (1, pt 3 -> 1 = issue 1, pt 3 = part 3)
- Inclusive page number (: before putting in page number)

Books and chapters

- Authors or editors names (chapter authors/editors, then title chapter, then author of book, title
of book)
- Title and subtitle (title is all caps and italicized; but chapter title only capitalize 1st letter of 1st
word, no italicized)
- Volume number/title (if many volumes)
- Edition number (do not indicate 1st edition)
- Place of publication
- Name of publisher
- Year of copyright
- Page numbers (all references should be ended in page numbers)

Journal article/ section 3.15.1

- Includes print version of journal articles but with URL or DOI

Include access date
o DOI (preferred)
Refers to specific material being referenced
DOI numbers can be accessed via www.crossref.org/guestquery/
If available, do NOT include URL or access date

- Cited similarly to printed books/chapters in addition to URL and DOI
