2- Its clear to most people right now that if a
revised Obamacare medical rethinking plan goes
into place, the common good of many United States
citizens will be jeopardized. Obviously the common
good is not part of the process; millions of citizens
will be unable to afford medical care.
3- Introducing spirituality as a performance tool is
unethical because spirituality is simply not a tool but
a perspective on how each of us sees life, our work,
our families, our world, etc. We put that perspec-
tive to work, so to speak, when we get involved in
our lives, our work, our families and our world. One
cannot market spirituality anymore than one can
market a persons breath. The task of every parent,
manager/leader and government official is to tend
to a childs, employees and citizens dignity to make
sure that the person is breathing well. The ancient
word for spirit was breath. Our work as parents,
teachers, managers, leaders, and politicians is to
tend to by minding the breath-taking process in
those around us. Without breath we die, psychologi-
cally, spiritually and physically. Minding spirituality
is an ethical responsibility if we want to bring forth
healthy breathing.

this matter is the following: Ray M. Kethledge and
Michael S. Erwin. Lead Yourself First: Inspiring

Leadership Through Solitude. Foreword by Jim Col-
lins. New York: Bloomsbury Publishing Plc., 2017,
214 pages. Amazon.ca has this to say: Throughout
history, leaders have used solitude as a matter of
course. Eisenhower wrote memoranda to himself
during World War II as a way to think through com-
plex problems. Martin Luther King found moral cour-
age while sitting alone at his kitchen table one night
during the Montgomery bus boycott. Jane Goodall
used her intuition in the jungles of Central Africa
while learning how to approach chimps. Solitude is a
state of mind, a space where you can focus on your
own thoughts without distraction, with a power to
bring mind and soul together in clear-eyed convic-
tion. Like a great wave that saturates everything in
its path, however, handheld devices and other media www.chinradioottawa.com

not advocating that we ignore or dismiss reason just
see it in perspective. We are multifaceted persons:
reason, heart, will, body, emotion, imagination. Busi-
ness has too often denigrated imagination or, at the
least, tolerated it. Yet, imagination brings and fosters
life in all of us. Our imaginations can condemn us or
liberate us; I prefer the latter. I hear Gallups CEO wish-
