Environmental issues and problems were included in the first

grading lessons, as what the core values of DepEd emphasized that we
need to show respect and care to our environment. Oplan Paaralan was
one of the culminating activity that the Grade 7 students conducted.

Natural Disasters is one of the main issue today. Although

global phenomenon, social studies are not the only person
who has the responsibility to promote its 5rs, Reuse,
Reduce, Recycle, Rethink, Respect!

This Culminating activity tried to touch the heart of the

viewer as well the performers, students, and teachers to
protect our environment. The song of ASIN Masdan Mo ang
Kapaligiran became the theme of the entire activity. The
performers wore recyclable materials. Through their dance
and movement, they showcase the cause, effects and
solution of the environmental problems.

In relation with the K-12 curriculum, Grade 9 and Grade 10 SPED students for the school
year 2016-2017 were combined for AP subject with Economics as the subject
description. Just like in the past years, lessons were taught in English in simpler ways
with prepared visual materials. With regards to activities, projects like scrapbook, poster
and compilation were instructed to comply and were returned right after grading them,
as to which, taking photos of them were not remembered except for the one below.

For the quarterly examinations, prepared tests were done focusing more on knowledge
competencies as these were reasonably fit to their learning progress. Exam revisions
existed in comparison with previous years based from the accomplished lesson plans for
each grading period.

VIDEO PRESENTATION

As technology enters the classroom, there are always innovations being brought into the
folds that can help teachers to get their points across better and help students learn more
effectively

A tools that Ive been utilized in the classroom for some time now and continues to be used
heavily are the slide presentations using Microsoft Power Point Program and video presentations.
I used it effectively in some of my lessons and these tools can really enhance my presentations
and the overall comprehension of my students. It allows me to present my lessons in a more
dynamic way than simply lecturing and writing on the blackboard. Using sight and sound, video is
the perfect medium for students who are auditory or visual learners. Video presentation
stimulates and engages students creating interest for longer periods of time. The more interested
and engaged students are, and the more interactive each learning session is, the more students
will enjoy, learn from and retain information from the lesson.
