How to Activate the Seals of Solomon

Seals of Solomon conjure the powers of planetary spirits.

The manuscript used to create, interpret and use the seals or pentacles of King Solomon of Israel is a handbook of magic
known as the Key of Solomon or the Clavicula Salomonis. The Key of Solomon associates each seal or pentacle with angels,
demons or aerial spirits that govern the actions of specific planets. The knowledge of binding planetary spirits in seals is part of
the renowned wisdom imparted to King Solomon by the God of Israel. Ownership of authentic seals shares this latent power
with believers.

Try to ensure that your seal was made on the weekday that corresponds with the seal's ruling planet. Proper seal
manufacturing increases their effectiveness. For each day, the planets' most powerful hours of influence are 6 a.m., 1 p.m. or 8
p.m. so the seals should ideally be created at one of those times. Pentacles of the Sun should be made on Sunday. Mondays are
dominated by the Moon. Mars rules Tuesdays. Mercury rules Wednesday. Jupiter's seals should be made on a Thursday.
Influential Venus seals are created on Friday. A powerful seal of Saturn would have been made on Saturday.

Inspect your seal to see if it is made from a metal that corresponds to the seal's planet. Just as the day and time of
manufacturing increases effectiveness, so does the natural metal from which the seal is made. Pentacles of Saturn should have a
large lead component. Jupiter seals are ideally made from tin. Medals for Mars should contain an iron component. In keeping
with the color of the Sun, the best Sun seals are made of pure gold. Copper is associated with Venus. As implied by the
planetary name, seals of Mercury should contain Mercury. Moon seals should be made from pure silver.

Take a shower. The Key of Solomon recognizes that using the seals is an opportunity to pray to and petition the God of Israel.
The petitioner is better received while clean.
Petition the God of Israel directly by scribing one of His names. Use a pen or marker with a color ink that corresponds to your
seal's planet. Mars would require red ink while Venus would require green. Draw a circle within a circle. Between the circles
write the names of God that correspond to your wish. The name Elohim Gibor is called to punish evil. Elohim Tzabaoth is
called to ask for mercy. El Shaddai is called to ask for blessings.

Turn your face to the east. Hold your seal over incense of myrrh or frankincense to purify it. Simultaneously, read Psalms 8,
18, 26, 21, 31, 50, 28, 71, 53 and 133. Next, recite "The Oration" in chapter eight of the Key of Solomon to consecrate the seal.

Learn the versicle or scripture associated with your seal. Once consecrated, you may hold your seal in your left hand at any
time while reciting the versicle to activate the seal.

Tip

Use your seal on the day and time ruled by the seal's planet. Every planet rules at least three specific times each day.
For example, if you cannot wait until Sunday to use a Sun pentacle, you may use it Monday at 3 a.m., 10 a.m. or 5
p.m., the hours the Sun rules over. If you need to use your Saturn seal on a Thursday, you may do so at 5 a.m., noon or
7 p.m.

Aswehavealreadymadementionofthepentacles,itisnecessarythatthoushouldestunderstandthat
thewholescienceandunderstandingofourKeydependethupontheoperation,knowledge,anduseof
pentacles.

Hethenwhoshallwishtoperformanyoperationbythemeansofthemedals,1orpentacles,andtherein
torenderhimselfexpert,mustobservewhathathbeenhereinbeforeordained.Lethimthen,Omyson
Roboam,knowandunderstandthatintheaforesaidpentaclesheshallfindthoseineffableandmostholy
nameswhichwerewrittenbythefingerofGodinthetabletsofMoses;andwhichI,Solomon,havereceived
throughtheministryofanangelbydivinerevelation.ThesethenhaveIcollectedtogether,arranged,
consecrated,andkept,forthebenefitofthehumanrace,andthepreservationofbodyandofsoul.
ThepentaclesshouldthenbemadeinthedaysandhoursofMercury,whentheMoonisinanaerial2or
terrestrialsign;sheshouldalsobeinherincrease,andinequalnumberofdayswiththeSun.
Itisnecessarytohaveachamberorcabinetspeciallysetapartandnewlycleaned,whereinthoucanst
remainwithoutinterruption,thewhichhavingenteredwiththycompanions,thoushaltincenseandperfumeit
withtheodoursandperfumesoftheart.Theskyshouldbeclearandserene.Itisnecessarythatthoushouldest
haveoneormorepiecesofvirginpaperpreparedandarrangedready,asweshalltellyoumorefullylateron,
initsplace.

Thoushaltcommencethewritingorconstructionofthepentaclesinthehouraforesaid.Amongother
things,thoushaltchieflyusethesecolours:Gold,cinnabarorvermilionred,andcelestialorbrilliantazure
blue.Furthermore,thoushaltmakethesemedalsorpentacleswithexorcisedpenandcolours,asweshall
hereaftershowthee.Whensoeverthouconstructestthem,ifthoucanstcompletetheminthehourwherein
thoudidstbeginthem,itisbetter.However,ifitbeabsolutelynecessarytointerruptthework,thoushouldest
awaittheproperdayandhourbeforerecommencingit.

Thepentaclesbeingfinishedandcompleted,takeaclothofveryfinesilk,asweshallhereafterordain
thee,inthewhichthoushaltwrapthepentacles.Afterwhichthoushalttakealargevesselofearthfilledwith
charcoal,uponthewhichtheremustbeputfrankincense,mastic,andaloes,allhavingbeenpreviously
conjuredandexorcisedasshallhereafterbetoldthee.Thoumustalsobethyselfpure,clean,andwashed,as
thoushaltfindgivenintheproperplace.Furthermore,thoushouldesthavethequillknifeorknifeofthe
art,3withthewhichthoushaltmakeacircle,andtracewithinitaninnercircle,andinthespacebetweenthe

Thesewordsbeingsaid,thoushaltperfumethepentacleswiththesamesweetscentsandperfumes,and
afterwardshavingwrappedtheminapieceofpreparedsilkcloth,thoushaltputtheminaplacefitandclean,
whichthoumayestopenwheneveritshallpleasethee,andcloseitagain,atthypleasureandaccordingunto
thywill.Wewillhereaftershowtheethemethodandmannerofpreparingtheaforesaidplace,ofperfumingit
withscentsandsweetodours,andofsprinklingitwiththewaterandwatersprinklerofmagicalart;forall
thesethingscontainmanygoodproperties,andinnumerablevirtues,asexperiencewilleasilyteachthee.

Wehavealreadysaidsufficientregardingthesolemnconjurationofspirits.11

WehavealsospokenenoughinourpresentKey,regardingthemannerinwhichitisnecessarytoattract
thespiritssoastomakethemspeak.Now,bydivineaid,Iwillteachtheehowtoperformcertainexperiments
withsuccess.12

Know, 1 O my Son Roboam, that all the Divine Sigils, Characters, and Names (which are the most
precious and excellent things in Nature, whether Terrestrial or Celestial), should be written by thee
each separately,

when thou art in a state of grace and purity, upon virgin parchment, with ordinary ink, in the
beginning of the month 2 of August before sunrise, raising thine eyes unto heaven, and turning
towards the east. Thou shalt preserve them to suspend from thy neck, whichever thou wilt, on the
day and hour wherein thou wast born, after which thou shalt take heed to name every day ten times,
the Name which is hung from thy neck, turning towards the East, and thou mayest be assured that
no enchantment or any other danger shall have power to harm thee.

Furthermore thou shalt vanquish all adversities, and shalt be cherished and loved by the Angels and
Spirits, provided that thou hast made their characters and that thou hast them upon thee; I assure
thee that this is the true way to succeed with ease in all thine operations, for being fortified with a
Divine Name, and the Letters, Characters, and Sigils, applicable unto the operation, thou shalt
discover with what supernatural exactitude and very great promptitude, both Terrestrial and
Celestial things will be obedient unto thee. But all this will only be true, when accompanied by the
Pentacles which hereinafter follow, seeing that the Seals, Characters, and Divine Names, serve only
to fortify the work, to preserve from unforeseen accidents, and to attract the familiarity of the
Angels and Spirits

which is one reason, my Son, that before making any experiment, I order thee to read and re-read
my Testament, not once only but many times, so that being perfectly instructed In the several
Ceremonies thou mayest in no way fail, and that thus what shall have previously appeared to thee
difficult and lengthy, may become in process of time easy and of very great use.
I am about to endow thee with many secrets, which I charge thee never to employ for an evil
purpose, for ACCURSED BE HE WHO TAKETH THE NAME OFALMIGHTY GOD IN VAIN;
but thou mayest without any other ceremonies make use of them, provided that, as I have already
said, thou hast only the Glory of Eternal God for thine object. Thus, after having taught thee all the
Ceremonies which concern the manner of performing the Operations, I am at length determined to
make thee a partaker in the secrets of which I have particular knowledge, unknown to this day unto
the generality of men; but, nevertheless, only on the condition that thou attemptest not the ruin and
destruction of thy neighbour, for his blood will cry for vengeance unto God, and in the end thou
and thine shall feel the just wrath of an offended Deity. However, God not having forbidden honest
and lawful pleasures, thou mayest perform boldly the Operations which follow, it being always
especially necessary to distinguish between the good and the evil, so as to choose the former and
avoid the latter, which is why I command thee to be attentive to all that is contained in this my
Testament.
