Atlanta GA, US (ATL) Airport

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta or just Atlanta Airport is located about 8 miles south of


Atlanta since 1998 and is considered as one of the busiest airports in the world.

How get to there

Although located close to the city, Atlanta Airport can be reached from different
directions using various means of transportation:

MARTA

If you coming to the airport directly from the city, the easiest and fastest ways are to
take one of the lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), or the red or
golden line that goes directly to the airport, specifically to the domestic terminal, where train
stations are.

Road

If you travel by car, highways I-75 and I-85 are best connected with the airport. I - 75 will
lead you toward access to the international terminal while I 85 leads to the domestic
terminal, with lots of well marked signs pointing directly to the airport. In addition, you can use
Interstate 675, Interstate 285 and Interstate 20.

By rental car

If you go to the airport with rented car, ATL SkyTrain will direct you to the Hartsfield-
Jackson Rental Car Center and parking for leased cars.

Atlanta Airport duty free zone

Atlanta Airport has 12 large stores of which two are very large duty-free locations. There
you can purchase everything you may need, from food, drinks and clothes to perfume, makeup,
cosmetics and tobacco.

Terminals in the Atlanta Airport

Atlanta Airport has two terminals: Domestic Terminal, located on the west side of the
airport, and Maynard H. Jackson, Jr. International Terminal, which is on the east side. In
addition, there are seven parallel hallways with a total of 207 outputs, five runways and one
helipad.
Travel tips

If you're tired and have to wait for couple of hours for your next flight, you can relax in a
mini hotel, located within the Atlanta Airport. It is located in the hall B, at Gate B16.
