Protocol Implementation

2. Protocol Implementation
This interface is based on a TCP/IP/100BaseT link between SMS Centre and
SMS Gateway. The application protocol is SMPP specified in
Short Message Peer to Peer Protocol Specification V3.4 SMPP Developers
Forum 1999

2.1. Parameter Usage of SMPP

With the FTS system only a subset of SMPP mandatory commands is used and
additionally the usage of parameters and the used direction of commands is
limited:

SMPP Command Direction: Usage

SMSCSMSG
SMSCSMSG
bind_transceiver SMSCSMSG register the SMSG to the SMSC
bind_transceiver_resp SMSCSMSG response to bind_transceiver
unbind SMSCSMSG deregister SMSG
unbind_resp SMSCSMSG response to unbind
deliver_sm SMSCSMSG transmission of SMS from SMS
Center to SMS Gateway
deliver_sm_resp SMSCSMSG response to deliver_sm
submit_sm SMSCSMSG transmission of SMS from SMS
Gateway to SMS Center
submit_sm_resp SMSCSMSG response to submit_sm
