During the past ten years I have gained extensive and hands-on experience in Child

UNHCR, managing and advising on donor communication and relations. My experience
includes child protection in Emergencies, child protection trainings, budget
responsibility, intensive knowledge of donor rules and regulations as well as project
controlling competencies. Especially working in coordination, Project Management
with Transcultural Psychosocial Organization TPO for about 7 years and has
increased my understanding and sound knowledge in the field of child protection,
donor rules and financial management aspects. I am supporting and advising program
officers and partners in child protection in Emergencies in the field on financial and
donor compliance aspects and have managed to build up the area child protection and
of compliance as focus area in the department. Regular and overlapping donor reports,
which are normal in managing a regional project portfolio on child protection and
mental health psychosocial support, financial aspects, are part of my day to day work
and this fast, effective and responsible working mode enhances my motivation.
Especially in the field of Coordination, child protection, trainings DRM (Disaster
Risk Management), including child protection DDR, CFS, Peace Building,
Capacity building of CBO and MHPSS relevant donors and in the region of Africa
have I gained valuable insights into project application, implementation, management
and monitoring as well as field experience? This includes hands on experience and
regular advice to colleagues on project management regarding tactical and strategic
aspects. I have travelled to the field (mainly Africa) regularly (up to 40% in 2014 and
2016 so far) to support field locations and partners in child protection and donor
audits, reports, compliance, project start- ups, internal review and capacity building. I
also gained experience in national and international networking, representing ECPAT,

In addition I have sound knowledge on human rights, childrens rights, conflict analysis
and management through my degree in Political sciences at the University of DRC

with my focus on efficiency, professionalism and my ability to adapt fast to new
environments and topics make me well suited for the position. However, am
candidate for MA child protection at the University of Kent

practice oriented research in child protection and psychosocial support. I have
propelled TPO DRC into an influential local and global actor in the sectors of child

experience designing child protection and psychosocial support projects in
humanitarian emergencies and I have successfully designed and implemented such

participatory training and educational activities for various stakeholders, in the
development of methodological material, making use of new media (i.e.
developing E-learning), capacity building of trainers and designing trainings
for various topics (i.e. sexual exploitation of children, child protection, etc.).
Some of my core competences lie within motivation of people to work effectively, but
also enthusiastically and managing relationships in challenging environments.

I am well fit to travel to and within tropical and insecure environments and have
gained extensive intercultural experience and openness in my previous work at
international and regional level within many different cultural environments.

My working style is structured, communicative, social and self-confident. I am a team

player as much as I am devoted to deadlines and effectiveness of actions. I am stress-
resilient and manage well within difficult situations and environments. I am able to
lead people effectively towards common goals concentrating on a participative team
approach and my thinking is focused on a strategic level, with a pragmatic touch
where necessary. Building sustainable structures and developing guidelines are some
of my main concerns. My broad language and technical skills, openness and
enthusiasm to life-long learning complete my profile.

Therefore I am certain that I could be of benefit to your team and hope to be able to
present me and my experience personally.

In hope for a positive answer,
