Abstract

Background:

Whilespiritualandmentalenergiesareknowntoman,theirimpacthasneverbeen
scientificallymeasurableinthematerialworldandtheyremainoutsidethedomainof
science.ThepresentexperimentsonEnterococcusfaecalis[ATCC51299],reportthe
effectsofsuchenergytransmittedthroughaperson,Mr.MahendrakumarTrivedi,which
hasproducedanimpactmeasurableinscientificallyrigorousmanner.

Methods:

Enterococcusfaecalisstrainsinrevivedandlyophilizedstateweresubjectedtospiritual
energytransmittedthroughthoughtinterventionand/orphysicaltouchofMr.Trivedito
thesealedtubescontainingstrain,theprocesstakingabout3minutesandwereanalyzed

within10daysafterincubation.Alltestswereperformedwiththehelpofautomationon
theMicroscanWalkawaySysteminMicrobiologyLaboratoryaccreditedbyThe
CollegeofAmericanPathologists

TheresultsindicatedthatMr.Trivedisenergyhaschanged9of27biochemical
characteristicsofEnterococcusfaecalisalongwithsignificantchangesinsusceptibility
patternin5of31antibiotics.TheBiotypenumberhaschangedfromtheoriginalcontrol

straingivingriseto2differentbiotypesintreatedsampleswhiletheexternalenergy
/treatmentgivenwasthesameforalltreatedsamplessuggestiveofrandom

polymorphismasanalyzedthroughtheautomatedmachine.

Conclusions:

Theseresultscannotbeexplainedbycurrenttheoriesofscience,andindicateapotency
inMr.Trivedisenergy,providingamodelforsciencetobeabletoinvestigatethe

impactofspiritualenergyinarigorousmanner.

Inlyophilizedstate,biochemicalandenzymaticcharacteristicscouldbealtered.

Introduction

Alllivingorganismscontainlargecomplexmoleculeswithinthecells.Someoftheseare
proteinsandenzymesincludingDNA/RNA.Thenatureoftheorganismsisdependent
onthebiochemicalreactions,whichcanbecharacterizedandidentified.

Antibioticresistance,regardlessofantibioticandbacteria,willoccurwithsufficienttime

anddruguse.Widespreadantibioticusecausesselectionpressure:resistantstrains
survivewhilesusceptibleonesareeliminated.Antibioticresistanceisprogressive,
increasingfromlowtointermediatetohighlevels[1].Bacterialstrainsarealso
characterizedbytheirrelativeresistancestoarangeofantibiotics.However,sucha
changedoesnottakeplacespontaneouslyinastrainovera10dayperiodofnormal
incubationwithoutcontinuousexposuretoanydrugs.

InthispaperwereporttheimpactofspiritualenergyonEnterococcusfaecalis,in
revivedandlyophilizedstate,withrespecttoitsantibioticsusceptibilitypatternalong

withbiochemicalpropertiesanalyzedwithinaperiodof10days.Thesaidenergywas
transmittedthroughthoughtinterventionofanindividual,Mr.MahendrakumarTrivedi
whohasbeeninteractingwithalargenumberofpeopleasahealeroverthelastdecade.
Asresponsesbyhumanscanbeaccountedforbytheplaceboeffect,theseexperiments
onlowerorganismsweredesignedinordertodirectlytesttheimpactthroughscientific
studiestoruleouttheplaceboeffect.

Itiswidelyacceptedthatlyophilizationisthemethodmostcommonlyusedtostoreand
transportmicrobialculturesaschangeinthebiochemicalandenzymaticcharacteristics

ofanorganismcannotbecarriedoutinthisstate.

MaterialandMethods

TwostrainsofEnterococcusfaecalis[ATCC51299]wereprocuredfrom
MicroBioLogicsinsealedpacksbearingthesameATCCnumberandstoredaccording
totherecommendedstorageprotocolsuntilneededforexperiments.Thestudywas
groupedasperthefollowing.

GroupI:

OneofthetwosealedpacketswashandedovertoHindujaMicrobiologyLabandwas

revivedbythemintwoseparatetubes,ofwhichonewasthecontrol.Thecontroltube
wasanalyzedforidentification,antibioticsusceptibilityandbiochemicalreactionsasper

thestandardprotocolsofsampleprocessinginthemicrobiologylab.

Thesecondtube,(ATCCA)havingviablebacterialculture,washandedoverto

Mr.Trivedifortreatment,aftersealingbyparafilm.Itwasassessedonthe5thand10th
daysaftertreatment.

Treatment:

Mr.Trivediheldthistubeinhishandunderambientconditionsforbetween0.5to3

minuteswhiletreatingitthroughhisthoughtinterventionprocessbycommunicatingand
instructingtheexperimentalobjectwithinthetubeinordertoundergothechange.The
tubewasreturnedtothelabinthesealedconditionitself.

GroupII:

ThesecondsealedpacketofEnterococcusfaecalis[ATCC51299](ATCCB)was
treatedbyMr.Trivedidirectlyinthesealedlyophilizedstate,usingthesametreatment

processasabove.Thesealedtubeswerebrokenandthestrainswererevivedand

analyzedonthe10thdayforidentification,susceptibilitytestingandbiochemical
reactions.

AlltestswereperformedwiththehelpofautomationontheMicroscanWalkaway
System(DadeBehringSiemens)usingPBPC20panels.Antimicrobialsusceptibility
wasdeterminedusingtheMinimumInhibitoryConcentration(MIC)methodasperthe
latestCLSIguidelines.

MicroScan

Afterinoculationandrehydrationwithastandardizedsuspensionoforganismand

incubationat350cfor16hrs,theminimuminhibitoryconcentration(MIC)orthe
qualitativesusceptibility(susceptible,intermediateorresistant)wasdeterminedby
observingthelowestantimicrobialconcentrationshowinginhibitionofgrowth.The
resultsofsusceptibilitytestingwereexpressedinmillimetersofgrowthinhibitionwith

disktestingandinmcg/mlinMICtesting.

Qualitycontrol:

Theacceptabilityoftheidentificationmediaandantimicrobialagentswascheckedprior
tothestudybyATCCcontrolorganisms,SAureusATCC29213,&EColiATCC
25922.

Setting:

MicrobiologyLaboratoryofP.D.HindujaNationalHospital&MedicalResearchCentre,

Mumbai,IndiaaccreditedbyTheCollegeofAmericanPathologists

Results:

Inthispaper,onlythechanges/variationsinantibioticsusceptibilityandbiochemical
reactionsthatwereobservedbeforethetreatment(control)andafterthetreatment

(treated)havebeenreportedinatabularformattachedherewith.

Theresultsoftheantibioticsusceptibilitytests,identificationtestsandbiochemicaltests

canbeseeninTable1.

Forfourofthefiveantibioticsshownhere,Ampicillin,Linezolid,Penicillin,

Tetracycline,theMICvaluesintheTreated5thDayremainedunalteredasincontrol,

andfurtherincreasedintheTreated10thDaychangingthesusceptibilityfromsensitive

ForVancomycintheMICvaluebeing16inthecontrol,hadremainedthesamebyDay

5,andincreasedto>16byDay10,changingthesusceptibilityfromintermediateasin

controlandtreated5thdaytoresistantbythe10thday.

GroupII:

InGroupIIsamplestoo,althoughtreateddirectlyinthelyophilizedform,achangemay

benotedinthesusceptibilitytoVancomycin,whoseMICvaluesdecreasedafter
treatmentfrom16inthecontrolto4inthetreatedsample,changingthesusceptibility

fromintermediateinthecontroltosensitiveinthetreatedsamplebyDay10.Whereas
thesusceptibilitytoAmpicillin,Linezolid,PenicillinandTetracyclineremained

unalteredbeingsensitiveasincontrol.

OrganismIdentification

Biotypenumbersofparticularorganismswerearrivedatafterinterpretingtheresultsof
thebiochemicaltests.TheBiotypenumbersthenledtotheparticularOrganism

Identification.

Surprisingly,thebiotypeshavechangedinGroupIandGroupIIsamplesbythe10thday
comparedtocontrolanddidnotmatchwitheachother.

BiochemicalReactions

GroupI:

InGroupI,forVogesProskauer,Lactose,RBSandPyruvate,thereactionswere
positiveinthecontrolsamplesandhadremainedthesamebyDay5followedby

changingtonegativeonthe10thday.

IncaseofNitrate,IndoxylPhosphatase,BEandUrea,thereactionswerenegativeinthe
controlsamplesandhadremainedthesamebyDay5followedbychangingtopositive

onthe10thday.

InthecaseofHEM,nochangeobservedaftertreatment.

GroupII:

InthreeofthebiochemicaltestschangesmaybenotedintheGroupIIsample,which

wastreateddirectlyinthelyophilizedform.ThereactionwithNitrate,Indoxyl
PhosphataseandHEMhaschangedfromanegativeresultinthecontroltopositiveby

thetimeitwastestedonthe10thday.Restofthebiochemicalsremainedthesameasin
control.

Discussion:

Whilemisidentificationsanderrorsinassessmentoftheabovecharacteristicsareknown

tohaveoccurredinsuchtests,theexistenceofchangesinsomanypropertiesandtests
cannotbedismissedasamachineerror.Thefindingsofalterationsinantibiotic

susceptibilitypatternsaswellasinseveralbiochemicalreactionsasaresultofthe
treatmentappliedareunexpectedandunprecedentedbasedontheliteraturesofar,and

currentlyunexplainedbyscience.Thebiotypesoftheorganismshavealsochangedafter
treatmentbyMr.Trivedi.Thisappearstoindicatethepresenceofanenergytowhichthe

organismswereexposed.Andmostimportantisthattheparticularmicrobereactedto

thisenergy[2,3].

Inseparatestudies,theeffectofMr.TrivedisenergyonbacterialstrainsofATCC
throughDNAfingerprintinghasindicatedDNApolymorphismrangingfrom4%to79%

[4](unpublished).Further,16SrDNAtestsshowachangeinthebacterialspecies.[5]
(unpublished).Suchobservationsareindicativeofalterationsingenotype.The

similarityofeffectofMr.Trivedisuniqueenergyonbiochemicalchangesand

susceptibilitypatternsofEnterococcusfaecalis[ATCC51299]andotherbacteria
referencedabove[4,5]leadustopostulatethatEnterococcusfaecalis[ATCC51299]

hasalsogonethroughagenotypechange.ThusweexpecttoseeDNApolymorphismin
thesestrains,whichmayberesponsibletocausesuchchangesinantibioticsusceptibility

aswellasinbiochemicalreactions.

Theresultsobtainedinthepresentexperimentindicatetheexistenceofanenergythatis

stillnotknowntocontemporaryphysicalandlifesciencesandwhichcaneffectively

alterthecharacteristicsofthemicroorganismssuchasthebacteriastudiedinthiswork.
Itisnotpossibletofindanexplanationofsuchobservationsbasedonthecurrent

scientificknowledge.Theseresultsmaygiverisetobetterinsightintothepathwaysthat
leadtomutationandmayalsohelptounderstandthepossiblebiochemicalpathwaysthat

takeplaceinthelifecycleoftheparticularmicrobe.

Whilesciencehassofarremainedunabletoenterintoquestionsregarding

consciousness/Spiritualismandorderedforcesorenergieswhichcaninterconnect
materialsonaplaneofhigherinformation,theresultsofthecurrentexperimentsprove

theexistenceofadirectmodelforinvestigationintotheimpactofaspiritualenergyina

rigorousmanner.

TheimpactofMr.Trivedisenergyhasalsobeentestedonvarioustransitionmetals

resultingintochangeinatomicandcrystalparameters.Thetreatedmetalpowders
exhibitedincreaseaswelldecreaseinvolumeofunitcell,effectivenuclearchargeper

unitvolumeoftheatomandtheatomicweight.Thechangesinatomicparametersare
significantenoughtoincreaseanddecreasethecrystalliteaswellasparticlesizes.[6]

Thermalanalysisofthetreatedmetalpowdersalsoshowedadecreaseinlatentheatof
fusiontherebyindicatingthetreatedpowderstobeinahighenergystate.[7]

Theresultsoftheexperimentsoninorganicmaterialsshowthatthechangesareatthe
atomiclevels.Asthebuildingblocksoflivingorganismscontainmanytypesof

chemicalelements,theenergyhasalsobeenabletoaffecttheassembliesofatomsand
thechemicalbondsinthiscase.

Conclusions:

1Mr.Trivedisenergyhasalteredthebiochemicalreactionsalongwiththeantibiotic

susceptibilityofEnterococcusfaecalisonlywithintheperiodof10days.

2.Thechangesoccurredinthreebiochemicalreactionsinthelyophilizedstateare

impossibleasperthepresentknowledgeandwouldbeconsideredmiraculous.

3.Lyophilizationisthemethodmostcommonlyusedforthepreservationof

microorganisms,asitdoesnotaltertheChemicalandenzymaticcharacteristicsofthe
microbes.Oncontrary,thepresentedresultshaveobservedthechangesinfew

characteristicsofEnterococcusfaecalisinthelyophilizedstateitselfindicatingtheneed
forsuperiormethodforstorageofparticularmicroorganism.
