Pretzel Sticks
Grapefruit Seltzer
Sunday
For breakfast I ate a bowl of cereal and drank a glass of water. For brunch I went out to
eat at The Table and had deviled eggs, an eggs benedict, and a glass of water. For dinner I had a
glass of water, a grapefruit seltzer, and a sparkling cranberry juice. I also had a cheeseburger,
mac and cheese, and guacamole and tortilla chips. For dessert I went to Epic Gelato and got a
small raspberry gelato.
Monday
For breakfast I ate three bowls of cereal, an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, and
drank a glass of water. For a snack I ate pretzel sticks and chive and onion cream cheese, a
grapefruit seltzer, and a glass of water. For dinner I had BBQ ribs, homemade mac and cheese, a
caesar salad, a glass of water, and a grapefruit seltzer. For dessert I had a vanilla ice-cream.

Conclusion
In comparing the sample food pyramid with my food pyramid I found that I need to eat a
few more servings of fruits and vegetables but I also found that I eat around the suggested
amount of grains, proteins, and dairy. I also learned that I should try to eat the average required
amount of each group because the more servings that I consume, the more calories I would have
to burn off. Biomolecules and enzymes are significant because they help metabolize the foods
we eat, aid the breakdown of biomolecules in food, and also how they change our food into
energy depending on the kinds of food we eat. In reflecting on my food journal I found the I need
be healthier and consume more fruits and vegetables in my daily diet.
