So Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by
dengue virus that is transmitted primarily by aedes aegypti mosquito bites.
dengue fever or commonly known by the people of Indonesia as dengue
fever is a disease that can make the patient's body temperature becomes very
high and generally accompanied by headache, joint pain, muscle, and bone,
and pain in the back of the eye.

3
Actually dengue fever and dengue are two different conditions, but most of
the people of Indonesia has already misunderstood. Dengue hemorrhagic
fever (DHF) is a complication of dengue fever (dengue fever) that worsens.
DHF symptoms are severe (although in this phase the body heat decreases)
of which are damage to blood vessels and lymph nodes, vomiting
accompanied by blood, discharge of blood from the gums and nose,
breathlessness, and swelling of the liver causing pain around the abdomen .
Toast Master Alright give more applause for our table topic speaker , Mr. Palguna Putra
.Ehm you must be curious about the topic today but yeah, actually i know it
well. Alright now weare going to call our first speaker today Ms. Lidya
First Speaker Thank you Ms.Toast Master for the time given to me. Alright, my name is
Lidya and Im as a speaker 1 today, nice to meet you all, and I hope topic
today is useful for us because it relates to our daily actifity may be, to all
people. So my duty is presenting the topic as well as possible. What is the
topic for today ? Let see it, thank you. Ok time I return to Ms. Toast Master.
Ok Thank you Ms.Toast Master for the time given to me, now I will
presenting our topic today, the topic today is Dengue Fever

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by

dengue virus that is transmitted primarily by aedes aegypti mosquito bites.
Dengue fever or commonly known by the people of Indonesia as dengue
fever is a disease that can make the patient's body temperature becomes very
high and generally accompanied by headache, joint pain, muscle, and bone,
and pain in the back of the eye.

Causes of Hemorrhagic Fever

The main cause of dengue fever is the presence of dengue virus. This dengue
virus can enter into the human body through the bite of its carrier vector, the
type Aedes aegypti females and Aedes albopictus, and Aedes aegypti is the
most commonly found vector causing this dengue fever. These mosquitoes
can carry dengue virus after sucking the blood of people who have been
infected with the virus. After the incubation period of the virus in the
mosquito for 8-10 days, then the infected mosquito can channel the dengue
virus to healthy humans who bitten. In addition, female mosquitoes can also
transmit the dengue virus through its eggs. And that should be known that
the level of risk of contracting dengue fever will increase in someone who
has antibodies against dengue virus due to the first infection. Besides, the
risk of dengue fever infection in women is much higher, ie in someone less
than 12 years old and someone who comes from the Caucasian race.
This dengue virus can cause some types of fever, the following types of
dengue and the symptoms that accompany it, including:

>> Ordinary Fever

>> Dengue Fever (Classical)

Dengue fever shows symptoms that are common and vary depending on the

4
age of the patient. The common symptoms in infants and children are
usually fever and rash appear. While in adolescence and adulthood, the
symptoms are high fever, severe headache, pain in the back of the eye, pain
in bones and joints, nausea and vomiting, and appear rash on the skin. A
decrease in the number of white blood cells and platelets (blood platelets) is
usually also common. And in some epidemics, patients also experience
bleeding such as nosebleeds, bleeding gums, gastrointestinal bleeding,
bloody urine and heavy bleeding at the time of menstruation.

>> Dengue Fever (Hemorrhagic)

Dengue fever also shows symptoms similar to symptoms in classical dengue

fever. But it also added 4 main symptoms namely, high fever, severe
bleeding, enlarged liver and failure of blood circulation system. The
presence of damage to blood vessels, lymph vessels, bleeding under the skin
that makes the skin becomes bluish. One of the distinguishing characteristics
of classical dengue is the leakage of blood plasma. Critical phase 2-7 days of
high fever, and a drastic reduction in body temperature, will continue to
sweat, sleeplessness, and a decrease in blood pressure. If electrolyte therapy
is done quickly and accurately then the patient can recover, and if not it can
cause death.

>> Dengue Shock Syndrome

This dengue shock syndrome is the most severe level of dengue fever. This
shock syndrome usually occurs in patients who have been infected for the
second time. In this case, it is generally very fatal which leads to death,
especially in children if not handled quickly and precisely. The duration of
this shock is very fast. High body, difficulty sleeping and abdominal pain are
common signs before shock occurs. If that happens the patient will die
within 12-24 hours after the shock, and the patient will recover if the therapy
effort to restore body fluids done quickly and precisely. Probably about 2-3
days of patients who have passed this shock will heal, with marked urine
expenditure appropriate and the return of appetite.

To avoid the occurrence of dengue fever do prevention around your

environment, namely by controlling mosquito vectors, such as drain the
bathroom, drain the water reservoir at least once a week, change / drain the
vase of flowers and birds once a week, close the meeting place of the pens
water, bury bottles and cans used around the house. Because until now there
is no specific drug for dengue fever. Therefore if there is one family member
experiencing a prolonged fever immediately take to the doctor to prevent the
occurrence of dengue fever and all things undesirable. because if the dengue
is not handled quickly and precisely will be fatal consequences.

Here are some symptoms of dengue fever, including:

- High body temperature that can reach 41 degrees Celsius

- Body shivering
- Loss of appetite
- The body feels tired

5
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Reddish face
- Joint, muscle, and bone pain
- Nausea
- Gag
- Pain in the back of the eye
- Swollen lymph nodes
- The appearance of red spots on the skin (especially in children)

Ok, thats from me, now will continue by the speaker 2, thank you. Time
I return to Ms. Toast Master.
Toast Master Alright now weare going to call our second speaker today Ms. Hendriani
Haluna
Second Speaker Thank you Ms. toastmaster. Alright, my name is Luna and Iam a second

my duty is presenting the topic as well as possible. What is the topic for today?
Lets see it, thank you.
Thank you likes what just Ms. toastmaster has told you that the topic today is
Dengue Fever

How to Prevent Dengue

Prevention is done by avoiding mosquito bites during the day

(morning until afternoon) because the mosquitoes are active aedes
during the day (not night). This can be done by avoiding being in
mosquito-repellent locations during the day, especially in areas where
there are people with DHF. If it is very necessary to be in place wear a
more closed clothes, long pants and a long sleeve shirt for example.
Use a liquid / anti-mosquito cream that is sold in stores, on the part of
the body that is not covered clothes.
Watch the environment inside the house and in the yard. Discard or
stash the useless items that hold water, or store in such a way that it
does not hold water. Sprinkle the abate powder (which can be
purchased at the pharmacy) in the bath and other water containers,
also in the ditches / ditches inside and around the house, especially if
the drain is not running. Swimming / aquarium should not be left
empty without fish, fill it with mosquito larvae fish. Spray parts of the
house and yard where mosquitoes roam, with mosquito spray (sold in
shops) when mosquitoes roam in the morning, afternoon or evening.
If any of the residents are positive or suspected of having DHF,
immediately spray the entire house and yard with mosquito spray in
the morning, afternoon and evening, even if the patient has been
hospitalized. Contact your local PUSKESMAS to request fogging at
local homes.

6
Local mass prevention in collaboration with RT / RW / Kelurahan
with local PUSKESMAS is done by Mosquito Nest Cleaning (PSN),
Fogging, or breaking Aedes aegypti breeding chain with Abatisation.

Ok thats from me, now will continue by the speaker 3, thank you. Time I

it, thank you.
Thank you likes what just Ms. toastmaster has told you that the topic today is
Dengue Fever

In many cases, DHF often leads to death. The number of death cases that
occur often caused by ignorance and lampannya handling of the patient so
that the patient was taken to the hospital conditions have been severe.

There is actually no specific treatment or vaccine for dengue fever. If you

think someone has dengue fever, give them as much fluid as possible, take
them to the nearest puskesmas, and avoid them from mosquitoes to avoid the
other infected as well. The disease may last up to 10 days, and recovery may
take between 1 week and 4 weeks.

Treatment of this disease is primarily intended to overcome bleeding,

preventing / resolving the state of shock / presyok, that is by trying to get a
lot of drinking, if necessary, the administration of fluids through the
infusion.

Fever is cultivated with cold compress, or antipiretics If you experience

prolonged high heat (more than 1 day) and do not recover by taking
medication, try to visit the nearest hospital and check your blood. If you find
your platelets are already below the normal limit (normal range: 150,000-
500.000),
Ok, thats from me, thank you. Time I return to Ms. Toast Master.
