Designing an Application to Develop Awareness of Ethics of


Using Electronic Resources by Higher Education Students

Abstract:
The study aimed to evaluation the institutional digital repositories of
Saudi universities in terms of coverage, research, service, policies, organize
information, access, control mechanism to access, evaluate the use, the use
software and extract out a list of standards that can be relied on when
evaluating the digital repositories. The study used the content analysis
methodology to reach it's goals by studies about the subject. The sample of
the study is limited on reviewing digital repositories ''OpenDORA'' and
"DORA"
The most important findings are as the following: the biggest digital
repository in the study, in terms of the number of source, is King Abdullah
University of Science and Technology(KAUST) Repository as it contains
more than 21347 source. The absence of the most important policies that
should be available in most digital repositories. King Abdullah University of
Science and Technology(KAUST) Repository is distinguished in most of
the evaluation points than the rest of the other digital repositories, where it
was the best in the number of documents, the diversity of forms of sources,
diversity in multiple search capabilities, provision of services and the
presence of policies. The study has a number of recommendations, the most
important are: All Saudi universities should establish digital repositories to
serve the research, scientific communication and achieve the free to
information. The universities should put and develop policies for digital
repositories that control the process of saving, preservation, quality and
ensure copyright of the author. They should link and connect the personal
pages of the authors and faculty members to the digital repositories of the
university which they belong to in order to put and save the content with the
creation of a unified page that combines all digital repositories of Saudi
universities in on page for easy access, and allow the possibility of unified
search in all repositories .

Abstract:
Since old times and still nowadays, reading has been considered as
one of the most important sources of learning, upon which human societies
rely to acquire science and knowledge. This is what made mindful nations
and countries encourage reading to spread knowledge and facilitate access
to it among all segments of society. Reading will remain the primary means
for the transfer of the product of the human mind and experience such as
arts, literature and inventions. Therefore, this study aimed to define the
concept of reading as an acquired and common behaviour by members of
the society, according to the beliefs, attitudes, trends and ideals that
characterize a society or a given population, which is passed from one
generation to another based on the language and simulation with a focus on
some of the fundamental aspects in the analysis and understanding of this
topic. This study also aims to try to shed some light on the obstacles behind
the reluctance of some segments of the society to read, to address this
phenomenon through providing mechanisms in how to market reading so
that it recovers its followers and increase the readership level in the
information society, which is characterized by a fierce competition. Thus
reading will achieve its set objectives in the education and preparation of
educated and conscious generations to take up the responsibility and build a
society based on the values of work and democracy, and the preservation of
heritage and to highlight its value that is consistent with the requirements to
build a modern society.

The Use of Techno- Strategy Information Management: A


case study of the Faculty of Economics and Administration at

Abstract:
The study aims to identify the extent of the use of the concept of
Techno- Strategy of information management at the Faculty of Economics
and Administration King Abdul Aziz University female section and get to
know the functions of the administrative information system used in the
Faculty of Economics and Administration and the extent of matching
electronic systems for faculty evaluation criteria of information systems.
The study used the case study approach through a checklist and a
questionnaire as tools for collecting needed data from the college
employees. The study found a range of results including the Faculty of
Economics and Administration at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah in
Brief students applied the concept Techno- Strategy information
management in the departments and units and systems. The study also came
up with several recommendations including recommending further studies
on the subject of Techno- Strategy information management and their
application and use in fact to government and non-governmental
organizations because of their impact on improving the performance of the
organization and development for the better.

Abstract:

It is no secret From those interested That documenting Units and


libraries, as well as information centers in general, and archive in particular,
can't margin core technology and its implications. As it works among other
institutions on saving and allowing multiple sources of knowledge.
However, the growing intellectual output has become a challenge and a very
urgent duty, and as an attempt to keep up with the technological
developments and given the privacy, initiatives have come to embrace
digitalization, which gave impetus to the archiver for adoption as a way to
preserve the cultural heritage on one hand, and on the other hand, made
available to projects and a broader understanding. In this context, this
research was conducted to shed light on one of the most important heritage
trailers centersnamely the interests of the State Archives archive Model
Province of Constantine To find out whether they are willing to embrace
digitization project in the light of what is owned by the possibilities or not
where wetreated in its draft theoretical and scan all physical and human
Ntrah related concepts, Either from the side of the scope of the study used a
questionnaire as a tool to gather data depending on analyzing the responses
that the elements of the society have provided for the problem of one of the
elements of this case study.

Abstract:
Universities seek in competitive environment to gain a competitive
advantage over other scientific and research institutions through the added
value for researchers, and benefit from their intellectual and mental energy.
Intellectual capital plays an important role in making the intangible assets a
competitive advantage by human support and energy, and to help them
discover their potential and flow possibilities. so the management of
intellectual capital can contribute to support the competitive advantage of
universities, if it sets up their various programs in the framework of the
university's strategy, and according to the requirements of the its work. the
study aims to measure the intellectual capital of researchers at the
University of Beni Suef by measuring human capital, structural Capital, and
relation Capital, so as to reach for measuring the competitive advantage of
the University. The study found many of the results: There are (11) patents
at Beni Suef University, the university introduced many units to help
implementing researchers creative and innovative ideas, such as: scientific
publishing unit which encourages researchers to publish International papers
and maintain rights of their physical and intellectual rights, as the university
is committed to laws and rules of intellectual property, Beni-Suef University
has been trying recently to use software which detect authors rights
violations to preserve the rights of researchers. the university sought
towards the establishment of an integrated research city with many
distinguished Excellence centers as well as many research centers, that are
trying to solve community problems, such as Laser Science Center, and the

The study concluded to a group of results which were: that the impact
of Noors educational management system for educational managements
use on the effectiveness of management performance in secondary schools
in Jeddah's was generally divergent and has a medium degree of acceptance
where all statements included in the studys four pillars didn't achieved an
extremely high degree of acceptance, as well as the presence of awareness
and realization among study participants that using the Noor system has
facilitated management work in schools in addition to their trust in the
safety and confidentiality of the system data which scored a high degree of
acceptance.

According to these results, the researchers recommended the necessity


of providing and publishing a reliable and certified printed guide for Noor's
educational management system, as well as enhancing and developing the
system's infrastructure including devices, communications and networks
within the system in order keep up with the changes and developments in
addition to work on activating all services available within the system which
has not been activated yet. Finally taking advantage of technical abilities of
the education staff in developing the system and encouraging them to be
creative and innovative.

Abstract:
The current study aimed to identify the impact of educational
management information systems, represented in Noor System for
educational management and its impact on the effectiveness of
administrative performance in government secondary schools of General
Directorate of Education in Jeddah governorate by identifying the four main
pillars of the study which are , finding the quality extent of Noor's
educational management system and applications in school management in
secondary schools , finding the quality extent of data and services offered by
Noor's educational management system in secondary schools , or
discovering the extent of use for Noor's educational management system
inside school's management work ,and discovering the extent of
headmasters' satisfaction of the results of using Noor's educational
management system in school management work.

In this study, the researchers used the descriptive survey methodology


and the sample consisted of (51) secondary school headmasters under the
supervision of Jeddah's Education Directorate which is considered 35% of
the entire education community. The researchers also used questionnaires as
a tool to collect data which were statistically processed using the SPSS
program in addition to personal interviews with study sample.

The reality of the archive profession built on the basis of science,

special laws and ethics to regulate the working out.
The subject Archive means two important matters, namely, the
subject and the job, the first means the documents that the person produce ,
or institution during work, which kept to take advantage of them later in
four uses: vrification, reminder, understanding, contact, and the second
function is the profession archival, which represents the basic foundation
and the important loop of the Archive in general, and particularly archival
institutions .
The contemporary archival profession, is making strides forward,
they are no longer a simple routine business career, but a career depends on
the control and use of new systems and methods seeking for the aspirations
and the future of its projects important is Archive techniques.The
technology has become a modern reality, and an integral part of specialty
aware Archive, with the emergence of new technologies, and developments
successive become an urgent need to develop curricula new scientific, in
line with the level of scientific and technologic and this has increased the
presence of the real difficulties of the profession
This is what made use the field study, about many of archival
institutions balances economic, social, and scientific, to try to understand
the reality and the challenges of the archival profession, and from what put

A Suggested Plan for Developing Knowledge sharing among

Abstract:
The study aimed to determine the level of knowledge sharing among
the workers in human rights commission in Saudi Arabia and explore the
factors which affect the process of knowledge sharing, in addition to offer a
proposal regarding the knowledge sharing among the workers in human
rights commission in Saudi Arabia. The researcher adopted the descriptive
survey method as the most appropriate one to achieve the study objectives
and data of the study was collected by reviewing the literature and designing
a questionnaire. The sample of the study constitutes of (150) workers at the
human rights commission in Saudi Arabia, but the questionnaires were
received back from (132) of the study sample to be statistically analyzed.
After the process of statistical analysis, the results of the study were as the
following:
1) knowledge sharing plays an important role in conducting the duties
of human rights commission in Saudi Arabia.
2) Regulatory cultural and social factors facilitate the process of
knowledge sharing at human rights commission in Saudi Arabia.
3) Technical, economic and ethical factors affect the level of
knowledge sharing among the workers at human rights commission
in Saudi Arabia
4) The workers of human rights commission in Saudi Arabia are
interested in using effective techniques in the process of knowledge
sharing.

Abstract:
This study aimed to design an application for mobile phones to
develop awareness of ethics of using electronic resources by higher
education students. A list with five alternatives: (very important - important
- I do not know - unimportant - unimportant at all) was used to determine
the most important ethics of using electronic resources that the application
was designed to develop them among higher education students. Also a
measure was used to measure if the application achieved its goal or not. The
study concluded to preparing a list of the most important ethics of using
electronic resources among higher education students, and designing the
application "Ala Kholouq" to to develop awareness of those ethics by higher
education students.
