Abstract:
Public Libraries provide several services. The most important one is
Bookmobile that helps increase the cultural and information awareness for
users in distant cities and rural areas. Accordingly it's very important to
find a way enables the users to reach such libraries easily and this is the
purpose of conducting this current study.
The study aims to provide a future concept to apply the Global
Positioning System (GPS) in King AbdulAziz Bookmobile in Riyadh. It
tackled the Bookmobile concept elements and identifying (GPS). The study
used content analysis approach and gave some examples of foreign
bookmobile that adopted (GPS). Moreover the study is based on case study
approach in King AbdulAziz Bookmobile in Riyadh in real. The most
important tools of collecting information for this study is making effective
interviews with the head of visits and coordination department in King
Abdulaziz public Library by which we reached number of findings that is
King Abdulaziz Bookmobile doesn't adopt (GPS). The study recommends
King Abdulaziz Bookmobile to apply (GPS) into force to be able to follow
the vehicles track and facilitate easy reach to its users.

It is so obvious that we have a need to rebuild and regulate Archival
profession and Documentation in our country and the Arabic world ,
especially in light of many organizational problems and what came with it
as a result to the rebuilding operation we mean ; Archivists competencies
diverse, and comprehensive skills to install their status as an important
resource in the Algerian societies and public administrations, in addition to
the problems of difficulty to adapt and adjust with the radically changes
that comes with the media and information technology, and their abilities to
keep up with it and perform their duties as required.
And we will try through this study to give a definition to archival
Reference and Documentation, and display areas to take advantage of it, and
it will be an organizational way for the archival work, and as a reference
guide for societies and their responsible in order to understand the
requirements of this profession, because it guarantee characterization of the
profession and determine qualifications and the necessary competencies and
development for their exercise, and it guidance for the preparation and
formation of new archivists, and improve their career path , also it is very
important for universities as a guide presents the needs of the information
market, and thus lead to form archivists with high skills that helps them to
develop archival profession

Instructions for Authors in Arab Journals of Library and

Information Science: An Analytical Study
of the Applied Condition

Abstract:
The study tackled the instructions for authors in Arab journals of
library and information science in the following journals: Arab Journal of
Library and Information Science, Journal of Recent Trends in Libraries and
Information, Research in Library and Information Science Journal of King
Fahd National Library, and Journal of Research in Library and Information
Science. The study aimed at several objectives including analyzing and
comparing the instructions for authors in the abovementioned journals, and
examining their commitment to apply such instructions on the published
academic works in journals during the five-year period between 2011-2015.
The study tried to develop a proposed model of instructions for
authors in Arab journals of libraries and information science. The study
used the content analysis approach to reach its objectives. The study
concluded that there was a variation in the size and content of the
instructions for authors in Arab journals of libraries and information
science. There was also obvious failure to apply such instructions on the
published academic works in journals. The study succeeded to develop a
proposed model of instructions for authors in Arab journals of libraries and
information science. The study presented some recommendations such as
the need to activate the role of editorial and advisory bodies responsible for
journals. Moreover, the specialized journals in libraries and information
science especially the aforementioned journals should embrace the proposed
model of instructions for authors developed by the study.

International Scholarly Publishing in Predatory Journals on

the Internet: A Descriptive Statistical Study

Abstract:
In recent years some publishers are exploiting the model of open access
publishing, they have cheated thousands of professors and scholars mostly
from developing countries and those who were in the urgent need of
publishing their articles in International journals. These Journals may be
known to accept submissions quickly with little peer review, publish
nonsensical papers, require a processing fee after a publishing agreement is
signed, and known as "predatory journals". A key aim of the present paper
is to spotlight these predatory journals and examines Arabic articles for
some of these journals.
The results shows that, Arab Articles are represented 3.15% of the total
number of articles published in those journals and the most Arab authors are
concentrated in Egypt, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The Free Citation Management Software

An Evaluative Comparative Study

Abstract:
Citations management software has several terms, including: personal
bibliographic programs, bibliographic citations management programs,
bibliographic management programs, reference management programs,
managers of citations, and bibliographic software.Citation Management
Software is a program produced for storage and retrieval of bibliographic
records. This study aims to identify this software and compare the free
software to manage citations in terms of the basic data and the features to
each of them to get out the findings and recommendations which will help
users to take the decision to choose the right software which achieve their
scientific research. The study followed three approaches: the historical
method to track the evolution of terminology, history and especially the
relevant benchmark, such as quotations, documentation, and citations, the
descriptive approach (Content Studying) to describe, analyze and expertise
the characteristic features of each program, then analyze the basic data of
each system and their features, and the third comparative approach to
compare the citations styles in accordance cognitive sectors and comparing
management citations software.
The Most important results are: JabRef is the best software in database
connectivity With more than nineteen databases: ArXiv IEEE Xplore
CiteSeer PubMed Google scholar Google Books Amazon Web of

Abstract:
The rapid evolution in Information Technology and
Communications pushed many software and system development
companies to compete in enhancing and improving systems for Knowledge
Management (KM). Moreover, companies who would like to adopt KM
used best and latest Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) because
Knowledge is an important factor for organizations. This paper shows
methods for evaluating KMS by reviewing the reviewing different KMSs
and by knowing the characteristics for these systems to know the
capabilities of these systems to compare them with each others to reach to
proposal for best Knowledge Management System. The paper aimed to
provide an overview about best KMS around the world according to studies
and ranking form specialized company in this areas. It will provided a
recommended way for organizations to help them to evaluate KMS. The
documentary approach used to review the literature, which touched on
KMS, processes and criteria for evaluating KMS, as well as the comparative
approach used to make a comparison between KMSs. The research found
that KMS when applied in organizations rely heavily on the actual needs for
the organization and that organization must play its role in evaluating the
system to ensure that it meets their needs.

Abstract:

Website Records are the consequence of e-government so

the governmental institution must control them to document
their electronic transactions and interaction between institution
and citizens online. In this study the researcher studies website
Records and problems which face them in Arab environment.
The researcher uses a descriptive approach to analyze the
website records in the Arab governmental Sector. The study
presents a number of results. For example first: there is a lack of
Arab legislation or standards dealing with website records
second: the technology infrastructure of institution affects the
efficiency of control website records. This study includes a
number of recommendations for example: Arab governments
should establish laws and guidance of website records to
complete the e-government system; it must also develop relevant
curriculum specialization documents and archives in Arab
academic institutions to coincide with technological
developments in the field of documentation and management.
