HTM Internship Overview


Requirements and roles
Internship required for HTM major; minimum 180 work hours
Internship optional elective for HTM minor
Imiloa is the Hawaiian word for exploration, and the waa symbolizes Typically 3-6 months; learning objectives; mentoring; report
inspiration and adventure in a career search. The Imiloa Career Experiential Learning Coordinators:
Exploration program offers Hospitality & Tourism Management students a o Provide guidance and offer counsel
range of opportunities for first-hand career observation and engagement, o Identify potential internships and communicate with employers
including career counseling, meaningful internships, and faculty-led
o Ensure prerequisites have been met and oversee process
student group travel to global career destinations and tourism companies.
o Review performance and post grade

achieving Hospitality & Tourism Management students who maintain a
minimum 3.0 GPA and are active in the Hookipa Society. Oi Kelakela
