THE PAST TWO WEEKS WE
read THE NIGHT BEFORE KINDERGARTEN,
FROGGY GOES TO SCHOOL, TIMOTHY GOES TO
SCHOOL, CLIFFORD GOES TO SCHOOL, WELCOME
TO KINDERGARTEN, FRANKLIN GOES TO
SCHOOL, CURIOUS GEORGE GOES TO SCHOOL,
WHAT WILL I DO IF I CANT TIE MY SHOE?, MISS
BINDERGARTEN GETS READY FOR
KINDERGARTEN, I LIKE ME!, HOW DO
DINOSAURS GO TO SCHOOL?, SHOPPING WITH
THE MEANIES, MEANIES and I WENT WALKING.
have been counting home lunches, school lunches, and
milk onlys every morning. This helps us with rote
counting and understanding the concept of more versus
less. We have been filling out a lot of graphs to further
discuss this concept. The children have answered
questions like, How do you feel today?, Did you bring a
snack to school today?, How do you get home?, and
Can you tie your shoe?
FYI
** Every other week you will receive our classroom
newsletter, The Jones Journal, in your childs Friday
Folder to inform you of things going on at AEEC and in
our room. Please read over this so you will know dates
and important information pertaining to our classroom.
** For the first couple of weeks of school please remember
to ask your child for any notes or letters that might be in
their backpacks from school. With everything going on it
is possible they may forget to give you things. I will do
the same in the mornings! As the year goes on, they get
much better at remembering.J
** Please dont forget to put any money in an envelope
with your childs given name, my name, and what it is for.
**I am planning to create a classroom email distribution
list within the next few days! I would like for every parent
(mom, dad, even grandparents if they like) to be on this
list. Please send me an email from the address you would
like for me to use (feel free to send from multiple
addresses.) Being able to copy your email from a message
is easier, and more likely to be saved correctly, than if I
entered them manually. My email is

the items that I have from you. Please make sure to turn in
the unchecked items as soon as possible. (Refer to the hard
copy of this weeks newsletter in your childs Friday

I have put an extra copy of any form(s) I dont have from
you in this weeks Friday Folder just in case you
misplaced the first one. Thanks for being so understanding
about all the paperwork and Im truly sorry if I have
overlooked any.
** I always have something for those children that forget
snack or prefer school snack. I usually buy the cheap
bag cereal or animal crackers and they seem to like it just
as well as the more expensive stuff. If you are at the
grocery store sometime, we would appreciate anything
scoop-able. Thank you so much!

ONE LAST THING
Remember that whenever your child is absent (sick,
vacation, etc.) you need to send in a written excuse within
3 days of returning to school. The office can no longer
accept typed/emailed notes. Thank you so much!
