ASTRO-YOGA
With reference to human being Chakra is taken as spinning wheel of energy. It is
believed that there are various subtle chakras but out of them, in a living human
being, there are seven major chakras. These chakras are referred as energy
centers and indicate energy system and pattern within the body of an individual.
In yogic philosophy, these are referred as psycho-spiritual Centers. It is believed
that these chakras are located along the spine but outside the physical body.
These are so subtle that even our eyes or any scientific apparatus cant help us
to see them.

The Concept of Chakra in relation with human being is deeply rooted in spiritual
science. To understand the function of chakras, we will have to understand the
very root of our existence in terms of body of living being. Soul directly does not
create body. In order to express itself it has three function viz, action, desire and
cognition. To perform his function soul creates various kinds of body out of them

Causal Body, Astral Body and Etheric Body are important.

Soul is a single cell monad that keeps record of karma of past and present life.
According to Karmic code a soul has to incarnate. A human being takes birth
only when his past karma needs to be dissipated. In term of body, Soul is
understood as Causal Body which of most subtle kind. Causal Body creates
Astral Body which grosser in comparison to Causal Body and Etheric Body is
grosser than Astral Body. Etheric Double is just a replica of Physical Body
constituted by electro-magnetic energy which is known as Aura.

These bodies are required by Soul to transmit the tendencies and thoughts
(Samkalpa) of past Karma to Physical Body via Astral and Etheric Body. It is so
because soul cant interact with physical body directly. Soul passes thought
waves from Causal Body to Astral Body and Astral Body sends these thought
weaves to Etheric Body. Etheric Body creates line of force. These lines of force
creates channel of communication linked to physical body. Etheric Body throws
concentrated electro-magnetic waves on the chakra (spinning wheel of energy)
through these communication channels. The signals of Etheric Body excite the
plexus in the body. Each Plexus is connected with particular endocrine gland
and gland causes to secret hormones that are chemical messenger in our body.
These hormones thereafter distinguish the signals and begin to work accordingly
very meticulously. Likewise all seven chakras vibrate concerned glands present
in physical body. In one sense our physical body is passive. It is soul that makes
us alive and active. For the purpose of interpretation of expression of soul we
have several tools or organs, sense organs etc. These cant work when soul
stops interaction with physical body. This is why on death eyes cant see, ears
cant listen etc.

In astrology, there are seven planets and two nodes. In solar system Sun
represents Soul and Moon represents Manas ( Mind ), Mercury is intellect
and Venus is Bhoga. Saturn takes account of our past karmas. Karma
(Saturn) force Jeeva (Jupiter) to incarnate in a body (Mars). Rahu indicates
Maya and Ketu Moksha. In ASTRO-YOGA, Sun is in the role of Purusha
(conscious spirit, pure consciousness) and Moon is for Prakriti (original
primordial tattva). Astrologically, it is understood that due to interaction of
these two planets further process of evolution goes on.

It is clear that Mooladhara (Basic) Chakra is governed by Saturn,

Swadhistana (Sex) Chakra by Jupiter, Manipur (Solar Plexus) Chakra by
Mars, Anahata (Heart) Chakra by Venus, Vishuddhi (Throat) Chakra by
Mercury, Ajna Chakra jointly by Sun and Moon and Sahasrara (Crown)
Chakra is beyond our purview.
