Friday,
December
11,
leadership
became
aware
of
a
high
school
staff
member
who
has
violated
both
district
policy
and
state
laws
related
to
an
inappropriate
relationship
with
a
student.
The
violations
were
specific
and
did
not
put
the
general
student
population
at
risk.
The
staff
member
involved
is
no
longer
employed
by
the
district.
The
staff
persons
identity
will
become
public.
Out
of
respect
for
those
involved,
the
district
will
not
release
the
name
at
this
time.
A
police
investigation
is
on-going.
As
the
police
investigate
the
matter,
it
may
become
an
interest
for
the
news/media.
The
leadership
team
asks
that
you
refer
any
news
media
to
Dr.
Pat
Greco,
superintendent.
She
will
serve
as
the
district
spokesperson.
Staff
members
are
asked
to
not
engage
in
conversations
with
the
media
in
order
to
keep
the
district
message
and
information
consistent.
If
approached
by
media
or
a
parent
on
this
situation,
leadership
asks
that
you
use
the
following
statement,

resolve
the
situation.

On
Friday,
December
11,
District
leadership
became
aware
of
a
high
school
staff
member
that
allegedly
violated
district
policy
and
state
laws
related
to
an
inappropriate
relationship
with
a
student.
Upon
learning
this
information,
the
District
immediately
began
an
investigation
into
the
situation
that
had
been
reported
to
District
leadership.
The
staff
member
involved
is
no
longer
employed
by
the
district.
A
police
investigation
is
ongoing.
The
safety
and
well-being
of
our
students
is
the
highest
priority
for
the
School
District
of
Menomonee
Falls.
The
District
takes
this
responsibility
seriously
and
will
promptly
investigate
any
concerns
regarding
student
safety
while
also
insuring
that
any
such
investigation
is
handled
professionally
and
respects
the
confidentiality
of
all
persons
involved.
When
appropriate,
we
partner
closely
with
the
Menomonee
Falls
Police
Department.
The
District
is
prohibited
by
law
from
discussing
any
specific
personnel
or
student
matter.
This

to
the
news
media.

district

and
staff

any
and
all
media
questions
and
concerns
