ABSTRACT

The main objective of my project is to develop an Industrial automation system using an

Arduino board with Bluetooth being remotely controlled by any Android OS smart phone. As

technology is advancing so industries are also getting smarter. All the Modern industries are

gradually shifting from conventional switches to centralized control system, by involving remote

controlled switches.

Now-a-days all the industries are provided with conventional wall switches which are

located in different parts of the industries, which will be cause little problem to the users to go

near them to operate as the industries are very huge. When people working in the industries met

with any kind of accidents, it takes time to reach the spot and stop those machines and by

applying this system we can turn it off right away from a long distance. Remote controlled

industrial automation system provides a very better and most modern solution with the usage of

smart phones.

In order to achieve this, a Bluetooth module is attached to the arduino board at the

receiver end, at the same time on the transmitter end, a GUI application on the android phone

which sends ON / OFF commands to the receiver where loads are attached. By pressing the

specified location on the GUI, the loads can be turned ON / OFF remotely through this

technology. The loads which are attached can be operated by Arduino board through opto-

isolators and thyristors using TRIAC's.
