5.1 The clowns jobs are as grave diggers; they empty graves to make space for new bodies. They
argue about whether Ophelia should be buried in the churchyard because she committed suicide.
Though it is against Christianity, since Ophelia is from a rich family, they will allow a Christian burial.
They can manipulate how situations were interpreted with their money. Instead of Ophelia drowning
herself in water, she water came and drowned her.
5.2 Hamlet is always so furious about the events occurring in his life, so his anger makes him do and
say irrational things, sounding, perhaps, mad.
5.4 The pathos increased because Hamlet was already reminiscing about Yorick. He remembered all
the times he spent with him and their happiness. So when the unexpected Ophelia arrived in the grave,
he wasn't ready to let go of their relationship and memories either.

5.6 They purpose of the fight was to show how both Laertes and Hamlet were a little out of their
minds. They were fighting on top of their sister/girlfriends grave trying to prove who love her the most,
but they had said outrageous things.
5.7 Hamlet describes what he found out about R & G when he was on the ship to England. He talks
about how he sent a new letter to the King of England.
5.8 Rosencrantz and Guildenstern believed that they were sending a letter to the King of England
say that Hamlet should be beheaded ASAP, but Hamlet had actually wrote a new letter ordering their
deaths. He believed that R & G were traitors to him and didn't feel guilty because he thought that's what
they deserved.

5.10 Hamlet blames killing Polonius and the other events that happened during that time on his
known madness.
5.11 The pearls were poisoned so that Hamlet would die if Laertes could not defeat him.

5.14 Horatio was always Hamlet's oldest and best friend. Even when Hamlet was dying, Horatio
wanted to die with him. He stood by him even when Hamlet was against the King. After Hamlet's death,
he passed on Hamlet's dying wish to have Prince Fortinbras take over the Danish kingdom
5.15 Prince Fortinbras arrives at the end of the play. He was coming to avenge his father's death and
take over the Danish kingdom, but everyone was already dead and Horatio handed it to him. He served
as the foil to Hamlet because he went through almost the same life as him, but he handled most of his
situations differently.
