For purposes of implementing Section 10 of LEB Memorandum Order No. 7, Series of 2016, the
following requirements and guidelines shall be followed for availing of exemption from the Philippine Law
School Admission Test (PhiLSAT):
1. Exemption qualifications. To qualify for exemption from taking the PhiLSAT, an individual must
possess all the following qualifications:
a. Completed a bachelors degree with graduation honors; AND
b. Awarded with professional civil service eligibility (Honor Graduate Eligibility) as an honor graduate
pursuant to PD No. 907.
2. Exemption period. The exemption from taking the PhiLSAT is valid only for a period of two (2)
academic years after graduation from college.
3. Requirements. To avail of the exemption, the following requirements shall be submitted directly to
the LEB:
a. Notarized and duly accomplished application form (downloadable from the LEB website);
b. Notarized certification from the School/University Registrar (downloadable from LEB website);
and
c. Original or certified true copy of the Honor Graduate Eligibility Certificate issued by the Civil
Service Commission
4. Application period. The application for exemption may be filed anytime, subject to thirty (30) days
processing period. The examinee shall bear the responsibility of claiming the approval document from
the LEB office.
5. Approving authority. The LEB Chairman shall approve all applications that meet with the
requirements of LEBMO No. 7, s.2016 and this Office Order.
