2.1 General Description
The system control device, HICM(Hyundai Intelligent Communication Module : HICM860), is the major
device for system management, and uses real-time OS. It has main functions such as database
downloading for ethernet communication with operator station, event-logging, input/output through HD-
BUS(RS-485) with sub-station and operates control logic by input data.
HICM860 provides the communication function as following ; RS485(for Sub-Station communication),
LAN(Ethernet communication for operator station communication) and CONSOLE(for system status
check).
2.1.1 Function
The HICM860 has the following functions.
Gathering field data from local station.
Providing information from server to third party system such as voyage data recorder and loading
computer etc.
Providing field data, system alarm information to server.
Providing the sound function of buzzer.
Providing the logic process through various function blocks.

HUB uses AC220V. When power is on, theres a light on power lamp.
Tip:
If LAN port LEDs does not keep blinking and green lamp is on, theres a problem with CPU
operation of HUB. At this time, take off the power cable on the rear side of HUB and reset
HUB by reconnecting. If the same problem happens even after HUB reset, HUB has a
problem, so it needs to be replaced.
