INFRARED SENSORS AND LIGHT DEPENDENT RESISTER INTERFACE CIRCUITS

Introduction
The first part of the lab is to demonstrate the working principle of an IR receiver - emitter pair
and to understand how it can be used in robotic applications. The circuit used in first part consist
of an IR receiver - emitter pair, an op-amp (LM358) to amplify the signal picked by the IR
receiver and another indication LED is used to indicate when the receiver picks a signal.
In the second part of the lab, the behavior of LDR is observed. A simple voltage divider is
created with a normal resistor and the LDR. The voltage across the resistor is tested for different
values of resistances while the LDR is in dark and in light.
