To All Graduating Students

Application of the Bonus Marks Scheme

The Senate has decided to adopt the following Bonus Points Scheme to qualify students who are in borderlines
for the award of Classes/higher classes in recognition of the Exceptional / Outstanding performance in Co-
curricular and Extracurricular activities undertaken as SLIIT students.

Graduating students who possess achievements that would qualify for bonus marks under this scheme are
required to submit applications, with documentary evidence on their co-curricular and extracurricular
achievements, to reach the Manager /Registry on or before 31.08.2017.

The applications should carry basic CV of the applicant (See specimen attached). It should be formatted in
accordance with the numbering pattern in the respective headings in the marking scheme. Documentary
evidence should be annexed to the application in the order of the achievements for which marks are being
sought.

Under this scheme 09 marks will qualify for a Weigh value of 0.01 and 18 marks will qualify for a Weigh
value of 0.02.

The Weigh of the eligible students will not be adjusted under this scheme. The Weigh value earned under this
scheme will be only counted to upgrade the final result to a class or a higher class within the limitations referred
to above.
