Overall Purpose of Role:

Extracting data from various sources, analysing and preparing periodic MIS
reports.
Main Activities and Responsibilities

The Crew Air Reporting function could include any of the below activities

1. Finance & reporting


a. Building the annual cost plan to submit to Finance
b. Monthly forecasts
c. Monthly variance analysis (why actuals are different to plan and to
forecast)
d. Monthly reporting suite and performance metrics (e.g. lead time,
service time, penalties, etc.)
2. Cost management
a. Fares by route analysis - provide saving, share shift etc. analysis,
and then inform Global Travel Sourcing (GTS) of requirements.
b. Be GTS interface - provide monthly GTS fare usage reports, savings
updates, etc.
3. Other
a. Business rules - managing and reporting on business rules impact
(balancing operational delivery with cost management - involves
working with RightRez)
b. Introducing new ideas to Crew Scheduling/implementing and
measuring new initiatives
c. Collaboration with other brands on managing cost
d. Identifying risks and opportunities and influencing booking
strategies accordingly.
e. Administering RightRez invoicing and charges
4. General
a. Set up and maintain databases for data processing
b. Source and analyse primary and secondary data for creating MI
reports
c. Carry out data validation and quality control checks
d. Perform data output and statistical analysis to present fit for
purpose MI reports
e. Operate in a timely manner and to a high standard according to
agreed schedule of activities
f. Ensure all MI reports are generated and delivered as required by
the customer
g. Communication able to effectively communicate in English (verbal
and written) with CUK stakeholders and senior management

Special Requirements (Equipment Used, External Contacts etc):

1-2-year experience as an MIS executive in a Financial Planning and


Analysis function
Understanding of Budgeting, Forecasting and variance reporting
Understanding of databases
Advanced user of computer business applications utilising Microsoft Office
(Ms Excel, Ms Word and Ms PowerPoint).
Excel (Vlookup, Pivot tables / charts / Graphs, Nested ifs, Countifs,
Sumifs, Subtotals, Consolidation, What if Analysis and other text and
financial functions
Ms PowerPoint (Confident of creating entire presentations using graphs,
Smart Art, OLE objects and use data interpretation skills to prepare
summary slides as well)
Knowledge of Ms SQL (or any other DBMS tool) and VBA would be an
added advantage

Other Features of Job (travel, hours of work, working conditions etc):


On call as and when required
To undertake ship visits when required
Work timings aligned to shifts, which may change and may include work over
weekends according to client requirements.
