at the outset, I would like to thank my university (Northern Border

University) for the opportunity to to do my summer internship in
Municipality of Dumat al-Jandal and to experience the real land work as
a civil engineer and to actually apply my knowledge of what I've learnt
from the classes to the real-life application.

I also would like to thank my supervisor, Eng. Hamoud Al-Jabbab

for the encouragement and advice he has provided throughout my time
as his trainee. I have been extremely lucky to have a supervisor who
cared so much about my work, and who responded to my questions and
queries so promptly. I would also like to thank all the members of staff at

Abstract

This report discusses my summer internship in general, briefly it's all

about the project that the municipality been working on, it also talks
about the problems that happened during the process of work, how can
we solve it and what kind of test we must do to make sure the work
been done on the land meet the requirements required to accept to site,
Take closer look into the to the machineries and how they work and
what are they used for, and also know their common names.

applied education, Civil Engineering Students Internship Program bridges the
gap between theory and practice and provides students with practical, field
