For Another Day Day by Day

St. Richard of Chichester

Thank you God in heaven,

Day by day, dear Lord,
For a day begun, Of Thee three things I pray:
Thank you for the breezes, To see Thee more clearly,
Thank you for the sun. To love Thee more dearly,
For this time of gladness, To follow Thee more nearly,
For our work and play, Day by day.
Thank you God in heaven,
For another day.
Small Things Lord, Teach Me
Margaret Wise Brown Isaac Watts

Dear Father, Lord, teach me all that I should know;

In grace and wisdom I may grow;
Hear and bless thy beasts The more I learn to do Thy will,
and singing birds, The better may I love Thee still.
And guard with tenderness
small things that have no words.

God be in my heart and in my

Prayer All things bright and beautiful
G. R. Alden Cecil Frances Alexander

When I work, and when I play All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
Keep me, Jesus, all the day; All things wise and wonderful,
When I wake, and when I sleep, The Lord God made them all.
Still thy lamb, Good Shepherd keep. Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
All the way as on I go, He made their tiny wings.
In the paths so rough, below, The tall trees in the greenwood,
Let me feel my hand in thine, The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
Let me know thy love is mine.
We gather every day;!
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.

Lord of the loving heart Psalm 9:1-2

Church Missionary Society

I will praise you, Lord, with all

Lord of the loving heart,
my heart.
May mine be loving, too.
I will tell all the miracles you
Lord of the gentle hands,
have done.
May mine be gentle, too.
I will be happy because of you.
Lord of the willing feet,
God Most High, I will sing
May mine be willing, too.
praises to your name.
So I may grow more like to you,
In all I say and do.
Amen.
Dear God, you are wise and loving Doxology
Thomas Ken

Dear God,
Praise God, form whom all blessings
You are wise and loving, flow;
You are great and strong; Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Glad when we do right, Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Grieved when we do wrong. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Father God, my Father, Amen.
Guide me every hour;
Keep me safe and shield me
From temptations power.
Amen.

Childs Evening Hymn Recitation Cards:

I hear no voice, I feel no touch, Prayers for Children
I see no glory bright; Volume 1
But yet I know that God is near,
In darkness as in light.

He watches ever by my side,

And hears my whispered prayer:
The Father for His little child
Both night and day doth care.
