FYI
In todays Friday Folder, you will find information
regarding a field trip that all of kindergarten will take
on Friday, October 27th to Jack O Lantern Lane
Pumpkin Patch. Please make sure to return the
permission form along with $10, and pay close
attention to the note about your childs lunch
selection.
We have the pleasure of hosting an Auburn
University lab student, Ms. Bailey Gibbons, every
Monday and Wednesday this semester. She will be
implementing various science and math lessons
during her time in the classroom and taking
documentation to fulfill her course requirements.

Photo Release and Consent form in todays Friday
Folder for you to fill out and return. Thanks in
advance for assisting her with taking quality
documentation for her class.
As the cooler months are arriving and children are
beginning to wear jackets, please make sure their
names printed in them. It helps out tremendously if
they are ever misplaced!
NEEDED
For the Glow Party on October 19th, PTO has asked
our classroom for 1-2 volunteers to set up from 3:30-
4:15 and 1-2 volunteers to clean up afterwards. They
also need 6 small orange cones to block off a specific
area. Please let me know if you would be willing to
volunteer for set up, clean up, and/or bringing 6
cones.
We need some hand sanitizer for our classroom. I
have a mounted holder in the bathroom, so each time
a child goes, they can choose between the sanitizer or
using soap and water at the sink. I have smaller
bottles around different areas of the classroom as
well.
We also are always in need of disinfecting wipes to
clean our tables, sink, water fountain, bathroom, etc.
It is easier to clean with wipes rather than with a
spray bottle and washcloth.

PARENT READING
This weeks reading is titled Rethinking Report Cards
and does an excellent job describing what a
standards-based report card is, how to read it,
why/how they are used, pros and cons, etc. Ive
made notes specific to Auburn City Schools
Kindergarten Checklist in hopes that it helps you feel
more informed at our conference. That way we can
focus on the actual content as opposed to learning
how to read it in such a short amount of time. If you
signed up for the Paperless Classroom
Communication option, this reading can be found on
the right side of our blog under Suggested Parent
Readings.
ONE LAST THING
Dont forget about Parent-Teacher Conferences the
week of October 16-20. I have listed your day and
time below as a reminder (for parents on the

attached the schedule for you to check your time.)
