2 Create New WWID
2.1 Process Overview
Any person who needs access to information systems within Cummins needs a WWID. A WWID
is assigned to Employees, Contingent Workers, Suppliers, Joint Ventures and Distributors.

You can create WWIDs via WWIMS for all non-Employees.

Exception:

Employee WWIDs are created through OneSource. HR team has almost completed rolling
out OneSource across most countries where Cummins is present. Only the WWIDS for
employees at the few countries where it has not been implemented will be created and
managed via WWIMS.

WWID creation can be requested, approved and tracked through the WWIMS web application.
You can request for access to a few basic resources while requesting a WWID.

Anybody can request for WWID for another person after logging into WWIMS. During new
WWID request, the user can also request for access to applications. To view the list of
applications that can be requested through WWIMS, go to
http://help.cummins.com/hccintra/WWIMS/provisioning_supported_apps.pdf

Every WWID request has to be approved by a Cummins Employee of professional type.

(Exception Distributors.) The WWIDs manager has to approve if the request is not from the
manager. The WWIDs managers manager has to approve if the request is from the manager or if
the manager is not a Cummins Employee.

WWIMS sends an email to the manager requesting his approval. If the approval is not received in
the next 2 weekdays, the manager is sent a reminder mail. At the same time, the request is also
escalated to next level manager who can also approve/ deny. If the approval is not received in the
next 8 weekdays after the reminder, the request is cancelled and the requester is notified.

After successful creation, the manager receives an email with the new WWID and password details
for LDAP / Cummins Online Login.

The request can be tracked by the requester through the View Requests You Have Submitted
link under Work Items menu.
