WORK EXPERIENCE
Kings Cross Construction Company - Kabul
Civil Engineers Assistant from June 2012 June 2015 and then promoted
to Civil Engineer from June 2015- Present
Involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to
implementation, testing and handover. Part of a team that ensures a building is fit-for-
purpose and adheres to the project budget and schedule.
Duties:
Estimating material, construction, and labour costs, and project
timescales.
Preparing sketches, marking-up drawings and writing specifications etc.
Liaising with architects, engineering technicians and IT staff.
Providing design support at all stages of the design processes.
Attending meetings on site.
Supervising routine servicing schedules.
Liaising with and monitoring third party contractors.
Working closely with other professionals like surveyors and civil
engineers.
Helping to co-ordinate technicians and craftspeople.
Responsible for specifying the nature and quality of materials required.
Providing technical support to the project team and wider regional teams.
Overseeing the maintenance of projects after completion.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality and compliance
targets.
Ensuring that all QA tests are carried out on time and in full.
Giving specialist quality assurance advice to the company departments as
required.
