WHO IS THE NEW GUY?
Merchandise For Sale

Peter Williams would like to introduce to you Rick Wiltse

Rick is joining the Nelson sales team this October,
and will be in training through the busy pre-Christmas season.
Rick is launching his new career with Pennywise by offering a great new project to Baker Street
businesses. Strong client relationships are key to business success and the timing of
the Meet & Greet on Baker Street is the perfect launch into the Christmas season.
The M&G will infuse an even greater sense of community along the commercial core...
which in turn builds loyalty. Putting the extensive and unmatched distribution and readership of
Pennywise in the Nelson & Kootenay Lake areas to work, Baker Street businesses will be thrilled
with the exposure and recognition they will receive by participating.
Space is limited - first 14 to book (the second 16 to book will double the size of the project)

Watch for Rick in the coming weeks as he makes his way around Nelson
on his own Meet and Greet mission!

FALL
Parents, child care providers and experts have pro-
vided input into the development of this program, Stri-
laeff said. We know quality child care is a critical resource
that supports early learning and development and helps
parents ability to work or further their education.
The first intake of the capital grants program will launch
later this fall. Earlier this year, the Trust also commit-

to support young childrens healthy development and the
needs of their families, such as hosting parent education
events, connecting with hard to reach parents and coor-
dinating early screening programs for children.
Over the past five years, the Trust has helped improve
the quality and safety of 300 child care spaces through
its social grants program. The Trust identified early
childhood and child development as one of 13 strategic
priorities following an extensive public consultation in
2014/15.

This little guy is a really nice dog; he is two years old, weighs 20 lbs, and is
(as best we can tell) a Dachshund cross. He gets along with other dogs, and
is friendly and affectionate with people. Edison is neutered, fully vaccinated
including rabies and bordetella, heartworms tested, and microchipped, and
his adoption fee will allow KAAP to cover his vet costs. He is looking forward to
meeting his new family. Edison and more small dogs are at kaap.ca/adopt, or
