Air Hollywood Partners with the TSA, REACH Services, Crew Presidential, and Commercial
Aviation Personnel to offer a free program to assist families living with autism rediscover the
confidence, comfort, and enjoyment of air travel.
Los Angeles, CA, October 11, 2017 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, November 11th, Air Hollywood, the
world's largest aviation-themed entertainment studio will host its ninth Open Sky for Autism - a public
service event that equips families living with Autism to manage their unique challenges experienced
during air travel. Free to the public with limited seating, Open Sky for Autism allows for vital acclimation
and repetition during a commercial airport and passenger flight simulation.
Founded in 2014 by Talaat Captan, CEO of Air Hollywood, the Open Sky for Autism program has helped
more than 1,000 families. Organizational partners - the Transport Security Administration (TSA),
REACH Services, Crew Presidential, and representatives from Spirit Airlines and additional major
commercial airlines - will provide expert, hands-on assistance to ensure a safe and educational
experience.
The next event is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th from 10:00am to 2:00pm, and features Airport
Arrival, Check-In and Baggage Check, TSA Security Screening, Departure Lounge and Boarding,
In-Flight Simulation with Turbulence, and Deplaning.
According to Captan, "Hosting this event is by far the most important thing we do at Air Hollywood. The
program does more than help families acquire confidence during travel, it opens a door to new places and
new experiences and all the wonderful sensations that come with it - freedom, recreation, adventure,
culture. There really is no substitute for traveling the world, and the most rewarding aspect of Open Sky
for Autism is knowing that we've unlocked this opportunity for these special families."
About TSA
Founded in 2002, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is responsible for protecting the
nation's transportation system and ensuring the freedom of movement for people and commerce. All TSA
officers who work at airport security checkpoints receive training on how to screen passengers with
disabilities and medical conditions. This training emphasizes treating every passenger with dignity,

respect and sensitivity. Because all passengers who travel on a commercial aircraft will be screened by
TSA, the agency has multiple partnerships with coalitions who represent passengers with various
disabilities and medical conditions. TSA is pleased to work with Open Sky Autism to help and learn from
its participants. For more information, please visit TSA.gov.
