ATTENDANCE POLICY
The PCC Attendance Policy applies. You are required to *attend* 80% of class meetings. In a
standard 16-week semester, you are allowed 3 absences.

In an online course, attendance is based on assignment submission and is calculated weekly.

Computer or other technical problems are not a valid excuse for missing assignments. Please
see the campus computer lab schedule at the end of the syllabus.

If you submit all assignments for each week, you will be counted present for that week.

If you do not submit ALL the assignments due, you will be counted absent.

It is your responsibility to keep track of your absences. You will be dropped

without warning if you exceed 3 absences

Regular and punctual class attendance is expected of all students. If you miss a class you will
forfeit the ability to complete tests, labs, and lectures given on that date. Instructors will/may
unofficially drop a student beginning the third week of class for the following reasons:

Any student absent from the classroom for two weeks of class will be unofficially dropped. This
will result in the students name being removed from the class roster.

Any online student that fails to submit course work during a two week period will be unofficially
dropped. This will result in the students name being removed from the class roster.

Students may be unofficially dropped when their absences from class begin to affect the quality
of their work or their grades as determined by the class instructor.

An instructor may choose not to unofficially drop a student if the student maintains regular,
constructive communication with the instructor during an extended series of absences.

LATE WORK / MAKEUP WORK POLICY

All assignments will become unavailable on Moodle after the due date. No make-up
assignments, quizzes, or exams will be given. Assignments and quizzes will be available for a
minimum of one week until 11:30 pm on the due date. Failure to complete these assessments
within that time frame will result in a grade of zero.
COURSE REPEAT POLICY
Courses offered by the Information Systems Technology Department may be repeated a total of
three (3) times, including audits. If, after three attempts, a student has not made a passing
grade in a course, the student is ineligible to repeat the course again.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY

The Department of Information Systems Technology has a zero tolerance policy for academic
dishonesty.
Any student found cheating, plagiarizing, or aiding and abetting another person in
cheating or plagiarism will receive a 0 for the first offense and a warning from the
instructor.
A second offense will result in an immediate F in the course and the Cheating Report
Form will be completed and forwarded to the Dean of Students, which may result in
expulsion. No exceptions.

Academic Dishonesty - cheating, plagiarizing, or aiding and abetting another person in cheating
or plagiarism (Cheating means getting help that was not approved by your instructor from
someone or something on a test, quiz, exam, or assignment.

Plagiarism - to submit as ones own the work of another. Plagiarism is stealing someone elses
ideas or words.

All coursework is to be completed by the enrolled individual. Collaboration is not permitted

unless specifically authorized by the instructor for group projects and/or assignments. Use of
instructor resources to complete any course assignment is not permitted. Students may not use
the Internet as a resource during quizzes or tests, unless authorized by the instructor.

If enrolled in course that meets in a classroom, student computer use may be monitored and/or
