The teacher will explain that today the class will be studying the future tense.
The teacher will ask ss. to recognize which word has in common every picture.
Their answer would be will. If ss. dont answer, the teacher will guide them to the
correct answer.

Speaking activity:
The teacher will tell ss. that they are going to talk about parties.
The teacher will ask ss, What is a party? The teacher will then ask, Have you ever
been to a party in Mexico? (Or another country pointing out each picture)
The teacher will explain that parties must be planned before for the actual event
takes place. When people plan events like parties or weddings or when people talk
about things that will happen in the future they speak in the future tense.
The teacher will ask ss. to say what words are used when using the future tense
that was seen in the previous stage.
The teacher will explain that when using the future tense, words such as will
should be used.
The teacher will give the students examples that he will write on the board:
The teacher will explain that these sentences show Mario and Andreas future
plans.
The teacher will explain how students can also usell as a contraction.
The teacher will explain to make a contraction with will you add ll to the subject
(subject + ll).

Post-speaking activity:
The teacher will tell ss. that they have to imagine that all of them will have a big
party next week.
The teacher asks ss to form group of 4 or 5 and write out a few sentences about
the future party, what they will eat, drink, wear, etc.
The teacher will write some examples on the board.

General revision of present, past and future tense.-
Vocabulary:
Different verbs, related to parties.
Functions:
Make sentences, ask and answer question, say what they will do at a party or at
any event.
Possible problems:
Lack of vocabulary needed for discussion, lack of time and problem with grammar
The teacher gives each group some pictures with phrases related to parties.
For example, at my party I will Next week we will be celebrating the fathers
day so I will.. etc.
Then ss. have to finish the sentences by using the vocabulary given (invite, buy,
drink, dance, prepare, bring, call, pay, eat, wear, use, listen, etc)
The teacher will go around the room to help ss. and check that they are answering
using the correct forms.
Possible answers:
Timing: 8/ 10 minutes
Speaking activities:
After that, each group will read an example of the sentences in front of the class
and they will have to write at least 2 of their sentences on the board.
The teacher will ask ss. to read them all together out loud highlighting the future
tense.
Post-speaking activity:
Ss. will have to copy them on their individual folders for future revisions.

The teacher will pass out the dialog and he / she will ask the students to read

Martha: What horrible weather today. I'd love to go out, but I think it will just
continue raining.
Jane: Oh, I don't know. Perhaps the sun will come out later this afternoon.
Martha: I hope you're right. Listen, I will have a party this Saturday. Would you
like to come?
Jane: Oh, I'd love to come. Thank you for inviting me. Who will be coming to the
party?
Martha: Well, a number of people haven't told me yet. But, Peter and Mark will
help out with the cooking!
Jane: Hey, I'll help, too!
Martha: Would you? That would be great!
Jane: I'll make lasagna!
Martha: That sounds delicious! I know my Italian cousins will be there. I'm sure
they'll love it.

Each group will have to do this and then the teacher will decide which group has
won.
Post-speaking stage:
Ss. will have to answer some questions that they will have relating to the text.
